 PROLOGUE

"Iyah..."

Lumingon siya kay Jacob.

"Hmm?"

"Mahal mo pa rin ba ako?"

Hindi siya tumugon. She watched his face intently. May naaaninag siyang kalungkutan sa mga mata nito. She went closer to him and caress his face. She smiled. A sad smile.

"Oo, Jacob. Walang nagbago. Ikaw pa rin ang mahal ko, mula noon hanggang ngayon."

He looked at her. The he wrap his arms around her waist, and he pulled her closer to him for a gentle hug. 

She felt her eyes watered as she buried her face in the hollow of his neck and hugged him back. He kissed her head.

"I don't deserve your love, Iyah..."

She sobbed.

"Sana..." his voice broke. "S-sana, ikaw na lang ang minahal ko..."

She didn't respond. He hugged her tighter/

Hindi rin niya alam kung ano ang mayroon kay Jacob at mula pagkabata ay ito lang ang minamahal ng puso niya,

Kailan ba siya titigil? Kailan siya magsasawa sa pagmamahal dito?

Buong buhay niya, kasama niya si Jacob.

Halos kalahati ng buhay niya, wala siyang ibang minahal kundi si Jacob.

Kailan ba siya mapapagod sa kakaasa?
