It grew closer as we already knew what was coming. Misty regained her grip on the ruler, which seemed nonsensical, but hey, it's better than nothing. Everyone grabbed something and we waited. The door was locked and we heard a thud ring against it. The door dented a bit. Bang! It was hit again. All of us were tense, waiting for the moment for it to beak down. We didn't want to open the door, maybe they would go away. It got hit again, splintering a bit. It wouldn't be long... then it burst into pieces. We all dived behind a desk to protect ourselves from the flying splinters. As it settled down we heard another chuckle as a scream broke out of an animatronic's mouth. It was a FNAF 1 scream which faded off, revealing it was foxy. I hid under the table before he could find me. After everyone had collected themselves we stood up to see Foxy lunging for us and purple guy right in front of the door, blocking out our escape route. Foxy missed and skidded across the table. Then I remembered the most random FNAF video I had watched. And it gave me an idea. I stood up against a wall.
"Hey! You stupid fox. You can't even dance!" I shouted. I didn't know what kind of insult that was, but Foxy must've really valued his dancing skills because it worked. Purple guy grinned as Foxy turned towards me and began to lunge. I ducked. He flew right out of the window, smashing the glass and landing in a broken smoking pile of metal and fabric which was beginning to catch on fire. Purples guy's smile flickered momentarily. We knew he had something in store. Then old Bonnie entered the room, his face even more disturbing up close. Then of Freddy entered after him. I was surprised they could get through the door. Oh, part of the frame was missing. No wonder. Freddy's hat had tipped over. I realised. Freddy was burned, Toy Freddy's broken endoskeleton still on the floor. I saw the Toy Freddy head.
"Someone!" I said, grabbing it and tossing it to Charlotte and Natalie. Natalie out it on and walked backwards, towards the back. Then I realised something. Purple guy had moved from the entrance. I saw if I was quick enough, I might get out. But to where? Then I heard the thing I dreaded. 'Pop goes the weasel'. Purple guy's grin was whipped off his face in an instant. It wasn't a question. We all ran past him into the corridors. The sun had begun to set, giving an eerie feeling over the school. We all ran down some stairs, out to the east quad, past the canteen, into the gym. We were all panting heavily.
"That... Was... Worse... Than... Cross... Country." Charlotte panted.
"Come on." I said and we walked across to a small room where they kept sports equipment, ignoring the bodies lying the floor. I recognised my jazz ballet teacher and presumably the class that she had been teaching.
"Where to from here?" Natalie asked, holding the Freddy head nervously.
"I don't know." I admitted.
"The cameras are no use. The marionette's out, and he won't fall for any trick. Then a shadow appeared outside. We immediately kept quiet and dived into the shadows. No sound followed. We peeked out to be met by the disturbing grin of shadow Bonnie. To be honest, why was everyone smiling? They should learn to frown once in a while. It's good for you.
"What is that?" Fiona asked in a hushed tone.
"Shadow Bonnie. He won't kill you, but he crashes your game. I don't want to know what that means in real life. Just don't look at him." I answered. It's hard not to look though when you feel his eyes staring into your soul. If I thought he looked creepy in screenshots of the game, he was at least 10 times scarier in real life.
"Let's... Just leave." I said when I couldn't take it anymore.
"But where?" Stephanie asked.
"Uh..." I said as I thought about where we could go. Then Charlotte screamed. I whipped around to see golden Freddy. But an ear was missing and wires were hanging out of his left eye.
"FNAF2, RUN!" I shouted. Natalie stuffed the head on and the rest of us scattered. I only then realised Shadow Bonnie was gone. Golden Freddy's body began to fade, his head began zooming towards Fiona. She managed to dodge and it slowly faded away, leaving everything like nothing happened. As we all recovered, I counted everyone who died. Lyn, Old chica, Olivia, Old Bonnie, Seph, Foxy FNAF2. In fact, Foxy FNAF2 was the last Foxy alive, mangle gone on the first day, foxy fnaf1 today. Annabeth, Freddy, Tara, Springtrap. It was much easier to imagine it never happened, that it was just a programmed game. Or that you would wake up, go to school and see them again. I stopped thinking before I started crying, focusing on making it through so purple guy didn't win.
"Where else did we say was safe?" Natalie asked.
"Well, we considered here. And lab five, but that's way too close to lab 6. We need something on the other side of the school." I said.
"Didn't we say the library?" Charlotte asked.
"Oh yeah! Well... We better get going." Natalie said, "as the A.I. will only get worse." We set off, deciding to get to the oval and run across and make our way from there. We made our way across the oval without incident and slipped into a door I remembered brought us to the careers staff room. A few javelins were hidden there as well. Fiona forced me to take one. As our slow procession made it across the school, 'pop goes the weasel' playing in the background we made it to the library. The door were closed like usual, but not locked. We went in and locked it behind us. We went behind a bookshelf to escape being able to be viewed by the many windows that lay in the walls.
"Where to from now?" Stephanie asked.
"We try and stay alive for around 5more hours if this ends at 12:00am." I said. Misty had dragged some beanbags to our secluded spot and and she had grabbed a book. The rest of us followed suit, either with books or with our phone. 5 hours left. So close yet so far...
