2035. So much has changed. The earth and its inhabitants are nothing like they were. Destruction was everywhere and hope was nowhere.

It has been a year since a race of aliens attacked the Earth and Earth has been preparing ever since. Senator Nel Benjamin Magdalenopassed an act that states all children 10-20 years old are to attend a boarding school that trains them against the aliens, thus, was amended.

At the boarding school, the trainees work hard to learn fighting aliens. But they just don't study about combat skills since they also study what 10-20 year olds learn about in a normal school. Some children of the former 10-love students, batch 2014-2015, are one of those who are training to protect the world from the aliens.

Just like the trainees, the community outside the boarding school are also working hard. Knowing that the city was wrecked due to the previous invasion, it was being rebuilt by the successful professionals... including my classmates and I.

I started my day with a cup of coffee and a blueberry cheesecake given by my favorite chef and patissiere, Bianca del Castillo who is now a Hotel & Restaurant owner. I can still feel last night's party in the way my head aches. As I take another sip of my morning coffee, the doorbell rang.

"Who is it?" I asked in a grumpy voice.

"It is me. Don't tell me you just woke up?" It was my good friend Eman Castillo who is now a psychologist treating me. "Are you ready for your next philanthropist work?"

"Oh, it's just you." I nodded simply. "Come in." In that instant, I heard my front door unlock. "Hey," she greeted as she walked towards me and slumped down on my couch without even asking.

"I would barge in even if you didn't say anything though." She added, adjusting to a more comfortable position on the couch.

"Oh shut up. I should've never had you scanned." I rolled my eyes. In this new generation, keys aren't a thing anymore. It's just scanners. No hassle in finding your door key before going out. And you don't need to worry about losing your key.

"Well, that's your own decision." She looked at me and showed off a cocky smirk. I almost wanted to throw my cup at her but I just laughed and waved it off.

"Do you want anything? How about some food prepared by my chef friends, Miggy Corales or Marian Villareal?" I offered.

"Ey, gently throw that apple to me." She demanded and pointed her finger at the green apple inside the basket of fruits.

I glared at her silently for commanding me. She chuckled at me and showed an apologetic face so I just shrugged and threw the apple hard to her way.

"Hey! That was close!" I heard her shout and unfortunately, it didn't hit her.

I ignored her complaints and continued sipping my coffe. I then heard her sigh and said, "By the way, have you heard about Patricia Samonte?" I gulped down a large serving of my coffee.

"Yeah, she's already a lawyer, right? What about it?" I asked and raised a brow, putting the cup down back on the table.

She took a bite on the apple before speaking, "Well, I heard she's going to go against Rafael Salido in her next case. They have become successful lawyers now. Talk about old school rivalry."

"Yeah. So are Sheen Aparri, Toni Roxas and Sam Victoria. I've been hearing their names lately in big cases."

"Wow. Who would've thought?" An awkward silence then filled the air.
