There was no place she loved more than her garden, it was the only place she felt somewhat free in, but that freedom came at a cost. She had to kneel down in front of Zeke, and beg him to let her restore it and fix it to her liking. And as she knelt down in front of the crackling fireplace, she could've sworn she saw the longing in her husband's eyes as she pleaded her case.

She figured he liked her like that, calm, docile.

Pretending... she came to the conclusion that she could do that when necessary.

She took a deep breath and smiled when she smelled the damp earth and the sweet smell of the hydrangeas she'd ordered to be put in, Mina Carolina's favorite.

She pulled out her dull blade and cut a few of the blue flowers from the stem. Christa loved displaying them whenever she could, and [Name] figured they would make a decent enough present. Her peace was cut short when she heard a voice call out to her from the entrance.

"Princess!"

"Lord Yeager," she smiled without looking in his direction, there was no need, he was always the one to find her even if it was behind a fifteen-foot rose hedge. "What brings you to me?"

He was upon her now, so near that she could smell the sandalwood oil and vanilla extract he rubbed on his wrists. She had to take one step away from him.

"I brought you something from the village." his face was beaming, just as bright as the sunlight streaming into her beloved garden.

"A gift?"

"More like an offering."

She hummed and continued to walk through the grass path, Eren following closely behind. "And what must I do in exchange for this mysterious offering?"

"Well that's easy," he stopped. "You must call me by my name."

"Your name?" she scoffed, finally looking him in the eye. "You are absolutely ridiculous! What even is this gift, it must be grand if you asked for such a thing in return."

"It's an item coveted by many, but only owned by those who are worthy!" he teased in only that manner he could.

"Continue,"

He reached into his pocket and yanked out a golden necklace with pearls dangling elaborately from the chain.
