Hayden's POV:

"Why are you hiding your face from me, sweetheart?" I spoke in hushed tones into her ear.

As soon as those words reached her ears, she was brought to tears. She squirmed!
She flinched again after I growled!

I walked out of the room, slammed the door, and forced my way through my pack members, heading for the forest, needing to vent my rage. As Koa gained complete control, I shifted, unconcerned about tearing my clothes. Due to being a direct ancestor of the First Alpha King, King Logan Anderson, Koa is a grey wolf with an ombre blend of dark and light grey fur, indigo blue eyes, and is larger than most Alpha wolves. My legs hitting the ground as I go deeper into the forest, the sound reverberates through the hollow trees. When I push myself to full speed, my surroundings blur and my rage fades. As I approached my house, concealed in the heart of the forest and safe from prying eyes and ears, I came to a standstill.

"My place now!!" I linked my brothers

"We're on our way," they said quickly.

I shifted back and dressed in dark green basketball shorts as I walked towards a tree that hid spare garments. I walked up to my house and shut the door behind me. I grabbed a bottle of water from the kitchen and drank it down to alleviate my thirst.Multiple pairs of footfall filled the home as I sat on a bar stool, and three individuals looked at me suspiciously over the marble quartz island.

"Who do I have to capture or kill?" Phoenix sneers.

"There isn't anyone yet," I said.

"Why did you call us for?" Xavier enquires

I sighed, "I found my mate."

"You don't seem too pleased about it; what's the issue?" Hunter is perplexed.

"I'm glad I met her, but I believe she's been abused." On the last part, I grumbled.

"Who dares hurt our Queen Luna!" Xavier grumbles.

"I'm not sure, but whoever it is, I'm going to kill them slowly myself," I snarled.

"How do you know she's been abused?" Phoenix enquires

"I whispered something in her ear and she flinched," I hissed. "To make matters worse, she did it twice when Seth let out a growl."

"That sick piece of s***," Hunter muttered angrily, his fists clenched.

"Can you tell me her name?" Xavier was curious.

I replied, "Aspen Carson."

"Pack? What is her age? Family?" River asks me a lot of questions.

"We didn't talk much, and when she flinched for the second time, I stormed out," I admitted.

"Oh my god, I think you're whipped." Phoenix and Xavier exchanged a chuckle.

As I remembered my reaction, I chuckled. Is it possible that I might be whipped? I mean, I've only just met her, but my parents warned me that if I met my soul mate, she'd become my entire world.

Hunter whined, "I want to meet her."

"Me too!" Xavier was ecstatic.

Phoenix smirked and said, "Same here buddy."

"All right, let's go," I said, laughing.

"She's probably scared to death right now," Phoenix laughed.

She'd better be ready to deal with your stupid annoying ass. Hunter mindlink

I gave him my best death glare at the time, but he just shrugged it off.

We walked through the woods toward the pack house, laughing at the boys' teasing and comments. They were ecstatic to meet my mate, and I'm glad they recognised her as their Luna, but was she prepared to be one? Let alone Queen. Will I have to choose a Luna and then reject her when the time does come?

Don't even consider rejecting our mate! Seth growled.

What happens if she rejects us, Seth?

Her wolf wants us, so she won't. Seth responds

How long do you think it will take? Huh... I only have 5 months to find and marry my true mate, or I'll be forced to choose her....
