Chapter 9: Friendships Arise

I know I took a while to write this chapter but I made it extra long to make up for it :) There's a lot that's going to happen in this chapter so get excited!

Vanessa’s POV

“Ash, please come with me,” I said sitting on my bed begging Ashley to come to the boy’s flat today.

“No Vanessa, you need to befriend them and get used to them now, you’re the one spending a whole year with them not me! Go on Nessa, talk to them and fix your problems. They really are sweet guys and if there’s a continuous grudge between you all, this tour is going to be really strained,” she said. I sighed, she’s right I do need to go and do this on my own.

“Alright Ash, I got to go get ready but I’ll talk to you later okay?” I said. We said our goodbyes and I saw that it was 12:30; I should leave around 1 because they live about an hour away. I got up and went to my closet to pick an outfit out. I chose white skinny jeans with an orange belt, a grey shirt with a navy blue blazer with white along the wrist, and matched it with an orange scarf because it was a little chilly. I matched it with orange flats with a flower on it. I matched it with silver earrings and a small necklace. I did my normal minimal make up and after making sure I looked the best I could, I grabbed orange sunglasses and put them up in my hair and headed downstairs. (outfit on side).

I went downstairs and saw my mom sitting on the couch reading some papers, my tour papers. I walked over to her and she looked up and smiled. “This looks so good Vanessa, I’m so happy you got an opportunity like this, you really are extremely lucky dear.” I frowned.

“Mom, I got this opportunity because of my talents, not because of luck.” My mom just gave me an annoyed look. “Stop complaining Vanessa, where are you off to?” She said changing the subject. I sighed, “I’m spending the day with One Direction.” My mom just smiled and then walked out of the room as if she didn’t really care where I was going. I grabbed the papers and went upstairs and put it away in a drawer and then went back downstairs and left. I drove for about an hour before I reached the address they gave me. My eyes widened, this is a really big flat. I walked inside and knocked on the door. The door opened revealing Louis who gave me a huge smile.

“Hey there Vanessa, come on in,” he said moving to the side so I could come in. I gave him a smile and walked inside. Wow, this is a nice place. I walked in and saw Niall on the island eating a sandwich. His face lit up when he saw me and he came and gave me a huge hug. 

“I’m glad you came Vanessa!” I heard someone cough from the back and saw Harry and Liam walk in. Harry was giving Niall another glare. Okay, I really need to ask him about that, it was starting to get annoying. They both flashed me smiles and gave me a quick hug before telling me to take a seat on the couch.

“So how was your day?” I heard Niall ask.

“Well, it hasn’t really started yet,” I said laughing. Niall just turned red while the others just laughed. I heard someone come down the stairs and saw Zayn walk in, stopping when he saw me. He didn’t even give me a second glance while he walked over and sat down on the couch next to Louis who just gave me an apologetic look.

“So…what’s up guys?” I asked looking at them all. They just looked at me, like they wanted to say something but nobody wanted to speak up.

“Well, things between us are going to remain awkward until we talk about this article so let’s just talk about it. Vanessa, we want to know why you wrote what you did. We honestly are more hurt by what you wrote then angry. We don’t think whatever you wrote is true obviously but if you wrote it, then you wrote it because its something you feel about us. We want to show you we’re not the boys you wrote about in your article. So you need to be completely honest with us and just talk, tell us everything. It’s the first step to solving our problems and becoming friends,” said Liam. The other boys just nodded looking at me.
