The Life Of Aaron Prescott
Journal Entry Thirteen; October 31thTrick or treat.
The words are famous and what I have been saying ever since mom and dad took me out and around our neighbourhood.
I miss my old home and friends. After mom died, dad didn't make enough money for our old house, that's what grandma said at least. So, we moved to this new neighbourhood.
I hate it so much, there's no other kids here really just these bullies down the street. And there isn't a Marge that lives next to us that can bake me my favorite cupcakes.
I didn't trick or treat here for the last two years, I have been going to my friend Ryan's house with his other two friends Mason and Jordan. I play baseball with Jordan, and I'm pretty sure he plays basketball too. Mason mentioned something about joining football and that I should give it a try. I can't do that though, signing my own baseball forms was hard enough.Dad's signature is hard to learn.

Coaches' words fade as I focus intently on my purple bruised wrist. Practice on Halloween was something we had done as a team for years now, coach would make us go through drills for the first hour and then let us crack open a bottle of whatever drink Thompson had brought (normally tequila) and we'd just talk about season, our dates to Ryan's parties or anything really.
Honestly, we weren't really a team as much as we were a second family. Our team was on the smaller side with only thirteen players, leaving us with three players -normally our freshmen's- to fill in when needed. Coach would swap out some of the older players against certain teams to get the newer players some time off the field.
There was Mitch, our catcher and my practical partner on the field. Me and Mitch worked well together and we have since freshman year.
Thompson -or Chad- is our second baseman and the party animal of the team.
Jordan, first baseman and one of our best batters.
Lincoln, short-stop and only sophomore on the team.
Brett, third baseman and Thompson's best-friend. Brett and Thompson are the only two guys I have seen play a game so well and so hungover.
Parker, our midfielder that has caught too many hits about to go over the fence that he should get an award just for that.
Carter, right-fielder and the best batter in our league.
Marco, left-fielder and our team's most quiet player on the bench. I can barely hear him yell whenever someone hits a homerun. Marco's more quiet and shy, even if he has dated half of the junior class.
Then there is Kaleb, Colby and Dylan, our freshman. Kaleb was an amazing pitcher and would probably be taking my place next year. Colby was a great catcher and Kaleb's best friend. I say they are going to be the duo of our team next year. I don't really know much about Dylan other than that he is dating Jasmine Billiard.
Coach has been doing this since his son -Ethan- was in high school and that was when I was in freshman year, now Ethan is on a draft list for Boston and dating a supermodel. He really made a name for himself. Coach never did leave though, he likes the game and how competitive we all are.
