-Yasuda's Pov-
I pinged Eli's phone and discovered his body.

Yasuda: Eli.. NO

I ran to him and held him.

Yasuda: Please be okay please.. Eli..? Fuck fuck fuck!

I heard a chuckle.

?: So you really killed him huh?

I turned around. It was a clone.

Yasuda: What did you do?!

They chuckled.

?: Something i should've done long ago.

?: But don't worry. He's in a better place now.

They disappeared.

Yasuda: Help!!

I heard sirens. It was the ambulance and a CIA car.

Agent: Ma'am you need to leave.

Yasuda: He's my boyfriend please help him!

Agent: He's gone..

I broke down. Hurt. Lost. The agent dropped a flash drive. I swiped it and hid it.

I left to my house. I was curious and connected the drive to my computer.

It contained one folder named "Elijah Fernandez" i opened it.

it contained an old birth certificate and a social security number. Death record indicated Eli died in 2002. I couldn't believe it. They faked his death.

Yasuda: I've got to tell someone.

I called the FBI and left an anonymous tip.

I was contacted days later and was ordered to give up the hard drive.

I was then contacted by a lawyer and they explained that i had to testify on Eli's behalf.

I agreed.

-one month later-

Judge: You are here today being sued for wrongfully killing a child, endangering the child to live in horrible conditions.

CIA Director: There is hardly any evidence.

Lawyer: I beg to differ. There is evidence of tampering with the original death certificate and altering his social security number to show up as a different citizen.

-six hours of fighting later-

Judge: For the six counts of first degree murder how do you find?

Jury: We find the defendant.. Guilty.

Judge: For endangering a child at the time of the event's started how do you find?

Jury: We find the defendant... Guilty.

Judge: I hereby order the Director of CIA to pay $75 million to the parents of Elijah Fernandez. I will also be sure to revoke all access of his files from every employee. Case dismissed.

I didn't feel any better. I felt lost and empty without him.

I went to the hill where we first argued. I sat and cried for a good 40 minutes.

I heard a voice.

?: Can i sit here?

Yasuda: Go ahead.

?: You okay?

Yasuda: Nothing will ever be okay.

I looked up to see that it's him.

Yasuda: E-Eli?

He chuckled.

Eli: In the flesh. Well, metal.

He laughed.

Yasuda: I don't understand. How?

Eli: You and parking garages? ha! i knew that wasn't like you.

Yasuda: How are you here?

Eli: I sent my clone i made awhile back.

Yasuda: You.. I..

He kissed me.

Eli: Believe me now?

Yasuda: I..

I pulled him closer and kissed him longer.

Yasuda: You fucking... jerk!

He held my hand.

Eli: I know. I'm sorry.

I looked away.

Eli: I see that you won that case.

Yasuda: I still don't believe that it's you.

He grabbed my hand and guided it to his face, feeling his scars.

Eli: My clone didn't have scars.. I made him the way i wished to be.

I started to tear up.

Eli: Yasuda, my love. I'm in love with you. I always have been. You've shown me so much more than anyone else. You became my friend when no one else wanted to be. You cared when no one did. I owe you my life. You deserve to be happy.

Yasuda: Eli.. i.. didn't know you felt that way.

Eli: How could i tell someone so perfect to me?

I hugged him tight.

Yasuda: How come you won't see your parents?

Eli: I.. don't want them to see what their baby boy has become. I don't think they could handle it.

Yasuda: At least give it some thought?

Eli: I'll try to.

I laid my head on his shoulder while the sun was setting.

I think i found my starlight.
