It was dark, quiet and peaceful. That's how I liked it. The trees were towering over me like a hug wall. Except I felt free. They whistled in a cold beautiful tune that slithered chills along my back. As I got closer to the river I could hear the ripples of the water drifting along the river bed. The sound was astonishing. I lifted myself of my horse and safely heaved myself onto the ground. The moon shifted and glazed onto the river lighting it up so it shined and sparkled. It was such a quiet night. My mother used to take me here when my father was away. She used to say it was "our forest". She was beautiful, flawless like a rose.
A sudden loud snap came from behind me. I turned around as quickly as I could. I felt blind to the world in front of me. I felt the darkness laugh and stare at me. I felt like a joke. There was a tall dark figure watching me. It was dark and cloaked. It sat embedded between the long thin trees.
"Hello?" I shouted. No movement. No voice. No gesture. My fists fastened, like a noose wrapping around a neck. My blood boiled and my stomach churned. I slowly walked to my horse clasping the reins. I couldn't take my eyes off the figure.
"What do you want?" I shouted. My voice was shaking and trembling. It had suddenly moved one foot close towards me, I jumped onto my horse and slapped the reins against the dry skin. My heart sped up and thundered in my chest.
As I battled through the winding brittle forest my thoughts went blank. All I had to do was to get out of this place. I could feel pressence around of me. Eletrical charges rushed through my veins charging at me.A sudden burst of pain slashed through my shoulder burning me. Everything began to slow down. The clattering of hooves echoed the forest, my grips loosened. I felt myself falling. Falling out of this world. My body cruched as it crashed down onto the hard cold floor. The world was disappearing into darkness. The figure was watching.
