"Thank you, Ryner, for all you and the Olkari have done to assist us."

It was the next day, the day we began setting our plan to end this war in to motion. I stood beside the others from the Blade as Princess Allura addressed the crow that stood before us. "Once we defeat Zarkon, it is my hope that we can continue to unite our forces and rebuilt the once great coalition that my father, king Alfor, began." The crowd cheered.

Kolivan placed a hand on my shoulder as Coran turned to Allura. It was time. We were going to end this, once and for all. Together we ascended into the castle. And set off into the stars once more. I watch as the lion carried the teludav close behind. once we were off planet and in position. The paladin joined us inside.

"All right guys, listen up." Shiro stood in the middle of the room, addressing us as the leader I knew him to be, "I'll use the Black lion to lure Zarkon's fleet to our current location, and make sure he's within the teludav's area of effect. Keeping the teludav hidden behind the space fold until the last possible second is essential. We can count on you right, Slav?"

"Absolutely. I'll be fine." The strange creature I had seen earlier spoke. Slav narrowed his eyes, "I'm not sure about the gravity generator though."

"What? What was that last thing?" Hunk stated in a panic.

As Slav started to explain, The room shifted and darkness consumed my vision. When I once again could see I wasn't in the castle, I was in field. I looked down at my hands for a moment, the black marks still remained, but now my hands were translucent. A wave of panic began to seep into my mind. What was going on?!

"That is a good question. One that we've all asked ourselves at one point." I spun around, feeling my power flare up for a moment. My eyes landed on a young woman with dark hair. At first, I thought she was human, but as she came closer, I realized she was Altean.

"Who are you?"

She smiled, siting among the grass and flowers of the field. I watched as she began picking the flowers and weaving them together. "You humans are interesting you know? You find so many uses for so many things." The woman pat a spot on the ground beside her. Hesitantly I sat beside her. I looked down at the flower crown she had made,  "That resourcefulness. That determination and drive you all seem to have. It is those traits that make us believe that you will be the ones to end this war."

The woman placed the crown on my head, I only narrowed my eyes. "You still haven't answered my question. Who are you?"

She laughed, "You have forgotten me already. Even after I shared those memories."

Memories... what... then it hit me. The flashes I had seen in the Balmera. "You... You were the former shadow... You are Yona."

Yona grinned. "That is correct. I was, and like you someone I loved was the light." She looked out over the fields, her smile turning sad, "However, you are going through something that none of us had to... Kage has sealed himself off from you."

I turned to over look the field, "Is there anyway to stop it?"

Yona continued to look out towards the horizon, than shook her head. "To my knowledge, nothing that is easily acquired in such a short time.  You need a bond beyond blood, beyond that which you currently have... Someone who you trust with more than your life, they would be the only one who may truly be able to reach Kage now."

I took a deep breath, and let a sad smile slip on to my lips. "How long do I have left?"

"I fear... I fear that your time may be drawing close. I'm sure you feel it, just as we on the other side do. This battle..."

"Will be my last."

Yona wrapped her arms around me. "I'm so sorry little pup. For it to end so early..."

I felt numb. This was it, the final fight. My final hours with those that I had come to love and respect, fighting to save the universe. No matter what, I would make sure that the other made it out of this alive. Even if I would not be able to join them.

Yona pulled back handing me seven rings. "Give these to your friends."

"What are they?"

"None of us are really sure, but we all gave them to the ones we cared about. So now it is your turn." Yona placed a kiss on my forehead, "Now go little pup, you have a war to win."

I nodded, ring clutched tightly in my hand. The field faded to black as I felt myself fall to the ground in the castle. As the castle came back to focus, I looked down at my hands. The marks hand crawled further up my arms. I sat there on the floor, trying to steady my breathing as I cluched the rings close to my chest.

"(Y/N)!"
