"What do you mean not human? Listen, love, even if we were not able to sense each other, I am not particularly known for non-humans just walking right under my nose," Lucifer laughed, earning a fierce glare from Nyx, who was currently pacing around the penthouse. Lucifer held his hands up defensively, sending the woman a grim smile. "Darling, all I am saying is that I can completely use my powers. You, however, are not and have not in a long time. Perhaps you are confused. I know this officer meant a lot to you but-"
In a matter of seconds, Lucifer's body was pinned back against his penthouse wall, a hand around his throat. Where usually Nyx having him in this position would flood his body with arousal, this left an entirely new feeling. Not one he enjoyed to acknowledge either.
"I am NOT confused!" Nyx growled, her white pupils burning holes into Lucifer's dark brown irises. Her skin was alit with hues of blue, black, and purple. Lucifer was able to feel the black claws digging into his neck. Rolling his eyes, Lucifer grabbed Nyx by her wrist that was accompanying the hand around his throat, pushing against it to get free.
But it did not budge.
Lucifer's eyes widened, flaring to red as he pushed back against the woman with all his strength, to no avail. He could not move. She was stronger.
"I am the daughter of Chaos! I am the being of might and destruction upon that of God's creations!" Nyx's voice was fierce and strong. Lucifer's comment was ill-timed in the already ticking timebomb that was the night creature.
"Apon you" She growled, causing a feeling of fear to arise in the Devil.
"Nyx, love, listen to me. I did not mean it that way." Lucifer whispered, watching as spikes began to protrude out from Nyx's arm. "I believe you. I apologize. Tell me and I'll help you"
Nyx stood in place for a moment, her chest rising and falling in anger before her eyes widened, quickly letting go of Lucifer. The man gasped, a hand rubbing his throat where it was a bit tender. Well, seems primordial beings can harm him as well.
"I...I am so sorry, Luci," Nyx whispered, her body and eyes shiftingback, shaking her head in disbelief. "I don't know what came over me."
Lucifer cautiously stepped forward, his hands gently landing on Nyx's cheeks as he turned her head up to look at him. "It's alright. I think I may have angered you a bit too much." Nyx nodded, quickly wrapping her arms around Lucifer in a hug, holding onto him tightly. Lucifer stood still, frozen in place before returning the gesture.
After a moment of silence and Lucifer leading them to the couch, Nyx shook her head. "Rike was an Oracle." She revealed, immediately gathering all of Lucifer's attention. "They are basically all knowing to the cosmos. Meaning what has happened, is happening, and what shall happen to the universe. This is, of course, fueled by what it tells them. Chaos is one of them."
She stood up, grabbing a bottle of whiskey from the bar before taking a large couple of gulps before passing it to Lucifer, who did not turn down the offering. "That means this whole time he knew who I was. He knew my existence and my being."
"Well perhaps he was visiting to tell you such," Lucifer proposed, but his assumption was quickly shut down by Nyx. "No, no! He can't! I am not a god! I am to not know that of what the Oracles know. Only gods." She interjected quickly, her hands flailing as she did. "By telling me, he would have ended his existence. But if that was his path, to tell me something so great that he was going to risk death-"
"Someone got to him before he could tell," Lucifer concluded with eyes wide in understanding. "Which means it could only be a being within your force of nature who would have known what he was and what he was going to tell you-"
