So apparently, Cathy's family had been driving home from an amusement park late at night. Her little sister, Mary, had been on the side of the car that the other car had hit. Her parents died from injuries, as did her big brother, Anthony. Cathy had broken a rib and lost some blood.
"I-I'm sorry." I say once she finishes. She doesn't respond, mostly because she's crying again. I embrace her in a hug, and she cries on my shoulder.
"I m-miss th-them." She sobs.
"It's okay." I say tracing circles on her back. I read somewhere that it calms people down, and it works. "We may never be Mary, or Anthony, or your parents, but we are here."
"No. Y-You're h-here. Your br-brothers aren't." She has a point. Fin is a lot closer to her but he totally ignored her...
"Okay, so they might not be. My mom tries, my dad will. My brothers might not, but remember: I am always there for you."
"You won't always." She says looking at me.
"Yes I will. I promise." She puts her head back on my shoulder.
"Thank-you." She barely whispers. I nod.
"Well," I say trying to change the subject. "now I've got a baby sister to protect." She looks at me.
"I'm the same age as you."
"When's your birthday?" I ask.
"June 23, 2000."
"Ha! I beat you. June 22, 2000." I beat her by ONE day.
"Oh. You're one day older. I am so much younger." She says sarcastically. I playfully glare at her.
"KIDS!! TIME FOR DINNER!!!!!!!" My, I mean, our mom shouts upstairs. We get up and head downstairs.

Anthony wasn't even this comforting or protective. Yeah, he protected me, but with TT it's different. Maybe it's because I've been his sister for 10 minutes and not 13 3/4 years.
I can smell steak as I walk down the stairs with TT. We sit down and Joyce serves us.
"So, which one of you is going to tell their friends that you have a sister?" She asks.
"TT can't." I blurt out.
"Why can't he?" Andrew asks.
"Because it'll be awkward and I'll get a bunch of fake friends who just wanna get close to him. I would rather get real friends myself." I answer.
"That's a good point." TT says. "I wouldn't want a bunch of fake friends. But do you really want all the teasing?"
"I'll live." I say. I eat my dinner (what do you expect me to do with it?), and head upstairs to my room. It's a really nice room.
The walls are like robin egg blue with white curtains and a white bedspread. There's a white dresser and a bookshelf. It's got a few books on it, like The Hunger Games trilogy and The Hobbit, and The Divergent series. Shoot. No Percy Jackson. I guess I'll live. You might be like: "I thoughts he owned them all?" Well, really, they belonged to the home, so I couldn't take them with me.
I start my homework and, before long, fall asleep.
