Chapter 8 | New Girl

Day 2

"Ok so enough about football what have we got for first period " I say interrupting the boys from there little rant on sports before it turns into WWE

"Erm...I think we've got choir" Austin says patting his body down trying to find he's timetable

"Ok so we will all meet up by the lockers so we can go to history together but first drop Austin to he's class so he's not alone"I say as we all try and walk in homeroom at the same time
Which led us to fall down except Austin he just casual walked over us while eating white Oreos.

"O-kayy ...morning guys" Mr.Coleman our homeroom teacher says also stepping over us ready to get our attention.
We all rushed up onto our feet and sat in the seats we sat in yesterday.

"Before you go back to talking and doing whatever... we have another student here"

"Hey my names Daisha bay glen " she says with a small but light wave.
At this point ,no ones really listening.
Everyone's just listening to there music, throwing paper aeroplanes or on there phones.

"Ok well now you've introduced yourself you can sit where ever you want and everyone can go back to what ever they were doing" Mr.coleman noticing no one paying any attention.
Daisha was sitting at the front while she slouched in her chair .
I felt sorry for her she had no friends.
Joining a new school.
I was lucky I made friends straight away because of Robert.
So I got out my seat and walked to the front
"Erm...hey my names hazel " I say smiling down at her
Her face instantly lit up with relief

"Hi... as you know my names Daisha"

"If you have no one to hang out with you can hang out with me and my friends " I say looking to the back which makes her turn her head
" I would like that" she says then we walk to the back of the classroom to the others so I can introduce them to her.

"Hey I'm Robert" Robert says practically jumping out he's seat straightening himself out to try and impress her I mentally face palm myself.

"Unfortunately, that's my twin" I said slapping the back of his head as he mouths an "ouch".

"I'm Alex " Alex says waving with one hand as he's other draped around Sarah's shoulder

"And I'm Sarah... Alex's girlfriend" Sarah says as Sarah and Alex look at each other getting lost in each other's eyes.
I instantly cringed. I love them but there so extra.

"Aw there so cute" Daisha whispers to me
"Whatever you say" I whispered making Daisha giggle.
"Sup I'm Zach " Zach adds casually leaning back in he's chair
"And I'm the actual good looking one out of the group ...as you can see " Austin implies while trying to do a light skin pose
"Hey I'm Austin" he continues reaching out his hand but I slap it away
"Just ignore him"
"Were the nicest group you'll ever meet" Robert gleams with too much enthusiasm as we all looked at him in unison like "shut the fuck up..that was cringe" kind of look.
Even though he was telling the truth. He was doing true most.
"So Daisha what timetable do you have" Austin asked straight away
She hands him her timetable as he lightly brushes his finger against her hand while getting her timetable. She blushes slightly as we all roll our eyes.
He's so arrogant.

"You have geography with hazel "
Yes I'm not on my own
"Choir , art with me and hazel
History and English literacy with Zach , Sarah , hazel , Alex and Robert
Algebra 2 and physics with me
Gym with Sarah and Hazel and that's it basically you have nearly all your classes with hazel and me" he said but winked at the end as he said 'me'.
Don't make me throw up.
"Can I remind you , you have a girlfriend" I say while raising an eyebrow
"It's an on and off relationship" he shrugged while pretending to look around.
"Mhmm" I murmur

Choir was pretty good and may I say Daisha can play the piano fluently.
Right now, we are headed to the old willow tree on the field because we have a free period.

"So how long have you been at this school " Daisha asked while we sit down underneath the tree
"Since yesterday I moved here to reconnect with my twin" I say while pulling Robert closer to me as my arms draped around he's shoulders. Our cheeks squishing against each other as she giggles. She nods her head.
I feel like she felt reassured as she was the only newbie in the group.
"Erm...we've been here since 7th grade and we've been best friends ever since" Sarah adds as she lays her head on Alex's shoulder, her hair gently blowing with the wind.

"Did you move here or did you just move schools" Austin joining the conversation while lying down on the grass.

"I actually moved here on Sunday but i had to unpack"

" I originate from San Francisco" Daisha adds while leaning her head against the tree
"Oh cool I've always wanted to go there" I say truthfully

"It's so nice today " Zach leaning on top of Alex and Sarah
as they run there fingers through he's hair as if they were a happy family and he was there baby son.

"It really is beautiful" Daisha speaks up

"I wish we could stay out here all day"i say now resting my head on the floor joint the others as I look up at the blue clear sky
"Me too "Alex and Sarah say in unison

We just stayed like this until it was time for next lesson.
It was nice.
We didn't really speak much we just enjoyed our surrounds and the people around us.
So, this looks like it's going to be our group for the year.
I don't mind that...not at all.
