Welcome to another chapter of (JFTL) I promised a double update so here is the first. I hope you enjoy

As I went to the table I sat beside Gabe (Gabi my older sister) who sat to the left of mom who was at the head of the table and ken on the right and my brother sitting across from me. As we sat and eat we talked about small things. I was planning on exiting the group and block my brother's number.

"Uhm guys I am going to go up early I am tired from all the walking I did today." Gabe said while pushing back her chair and removing her half empty plate from the table and walking into the kitchen.

"Oh ok but you haven't ate much are you ok hun?" Mom asked

"Yes I am ok." She said

"Oh ok get some rest then goodnight."

"Aii night sis, sleep well." Tee said.

"Night." Ken mumbled back to her.

"Goodnight sis." I said looking back at her she was in her normal attire consisting of black joggers twice her size with matching black T-shirt, white socks in her fuzzy black slippers and her dual dyed hair up in a messy bun but her face didn't hold the glow it once had.

She is a crazy person always cracking jokes to make everyone laugh and doing something out of the ordinary and to say she was weird was a understatement she was past weird but not today she wasn't her normal self and it only took one person to break her and kill that glow. I just want to kill that son of a cow.

"Goodnight." she said before going upstairs.

Mom then got up and said " I am gonna go check up on her."

" Hey mom just let her be she isn't feeling herself right now she needs some space." I said trying to reassure mom that she is fine. Gabe tends to be quiet when she isn't feeling it so mom must have picked up on that cause she only muttered a few words since we came down for dinner. They have only been a few times when she was this quiet and they questioned her until she tells them but she is always feeling out of it but majority of the times she is just good at hiding it and putting on the 'happy girl' facade.

However this time she is numb she ain't feeling nothing and I am the only person who knows why but I am not gonna mention it to any of them. I made a promise and I am going to keep it.

***flashback***

"Hey gabe how are things going now?" I asked my big sister who was sitting on the floor indian style in the corner of her room which was decorated with cushions and blankets and a canopy over head to block out any light the only lighting under there was the LED lights she installed and dimmed them to her liking.

Her back to the wall while reading a book from one of her favourite book collection 'Nancy Drew Mysteries'. She was glued to her books and if one went missing she would go beserk. She also had collections such as the hardy boys etc.
