"This would look so cute on you!" Clara said grabbing a top that had more ruffles than seams.

"Uh....." I dragged out looking at the article. It was ok but I liked t-shirts and things that I wouldn't be afraid to get dirty. "It's pretty but...."

"Oh come on! This is like the third shirt you've turned down." Clara said taking the shirt from me.

"Why should I get something that I can't even wear until Friday?" I said moving onto some graphic t-shirts.

"Because if you get asked out, won't you want something nice to wear? Besides Chris, in a way, asked you out Friday." She beamed.

"I don't think it's considered a date if the guy says 'you can bring a friend if you want'. I might not have grown up in places where girls and boys dated like that but I have watched movies. This sounds nothing like a date. Just two friends hanging out with a group of people." I pulled out a band shirt. It was the same punk guys from Clara's poster. 5 Seconds of something.....I think....

"Don't you want to go out with him?" She asked then eyed my shirt. "Ok you can get that, but no other graphic t."

"Oh come on. Graphic t's are my thing. Everyone has a thing and this is mine." I said looking from her to the shirt. "And what if I don't want to go out with anyone?"

"Don't you see the way the guys look at you? You're like a number one hottie! Besides you need to be socialized." I gave her a look.

"Not in that way you weirdo." Clara blushed when she realized what she had said.

"Fine I will get one girlie outfit if you allow me to get my own clothes." I stuck my hand out to her.

"Deal!" We shook hands and went looking for nice clothes.

I ended up with one really girlie outfit and three outfits that matched my personality. The uniforms were the last things we got.

"Let's grab some lunch and this time can you please sit with me?" Clara asked lugging her bags into our dorm.

"What's for lunch?" I asked. Breakfast was pretty good. Mom's pancakes were good but they didn't compare to the ones Safe Haven made.

"I think its pizza." She said sitting down at her desk.

"Let's go then." I pulled her out of her chair and jogged down the hall.

"CABELA!!" I heard someone call when Clara and I were halfway to the cafeteria. I turned to see Jaxon running towards me.

"Jaxon?" I held open my arms and watched as he launched himself at me. We tumbled to the ground laughing. "How are you here? I thought you weren't coming for a few more weeks?"

"Mom and dad thought about it after you left and decided to send me early. That way I started with the other kids." Jaxon stood up and helped me up too.

"Well at least I have you here now." I said then turned to Clara. "Clara this is my little brother Jaxon. Jaxon, this is my roommate Clara."

"Nice to meet you Jaxon. Who are you staying with?" Clara bent down to Jaxon's height.

"Headmistress Bennett's house with Millie and Todd Bennett."

"Wow. I didn't know Headmistress Bennett was allowing students to stay with her." Clara said as she straightened up.
