A very long time ago, back when the earth was still developing, Arceus and the other legendary Pokémon decided to bestow some of their powers to humans. Those humans were called Priests and Priestesses. They would relay messages from the legendary Pokémon to the humans helping them advance.

Arceus had taken a while to find the perfect person to be his priest, but nobody seemed to have the soul to contain any of his power. He needed someone who was kind and pure inside and out, a person who will be able to communicate his thoughts to the humans, but no one seemed to fit that description.

So he created that person.

The person was created for the soul purpose of being his priest. He didn't just create them from nothing, even if he could have, he created them the human way. He wanted them to have a childhood and a family. He wanted the person to be alive.

He named the person Ashura.

As the years grew their priests and priestesses grew older and when they showed signs of taking to legendary Pokémon they were made priests. With Arceus' priest being discovered he was made into a High Priest, one who made all decisions. He could override any decision made by any other priest.

He was lonely. He had no one human to talk to. He felt isolated and Arceus felt it. He relayed a message to him that said that "The High Priest is required to have 9 other priests and priestesses to aid him. They must be chosen by him." And so the High Priest selected the ones who would aid him.

And finally, Rayquaza's priestess Sabrina

They grew close, almost like they'd known each other for years and seeing any of them separated was a surprise. They quickly grew in rank as well, it turned out being around Arceus' chosen makes them a little bit stronger. They became high priest and priestesses with Ashura.

Priestess Sabrina had always been a strange case, even before she became a priestess. When she turned two she could already speak, a very uncommon thing around them. She had also developed strange abilities. Being able to lift objects, read minds and many others. When she turned 5 she had received the mark of Rayquaza and the sky seemed to have celebrated that seeing as shooting stars were seen all night long.

After she became priestess she became reserved and didn't tell many people about herself. She kept her life hidden from everyone around her, even those who aided her at any given moment.

Before she was called up to be by the High Priests side she was given a vision. There was nothing but barren land, empty skies and bodies. So many bodies laying in the floor, the majority being those of the priests and priestesses. She saw blood on her hands and long black hair stained with blood. She had woken up in panic and needed to speak with her legendary Pokémon.

When she had met Ashura for the first time she was very surprised that he looked exactly how she'd imagined. Long black hair, eyes filled with hope, and a heart filled with life. She had smiled at him, a real painless smile, and said they would become great friends.
