Chapter 12

JAY POV

I heard my mom answer her phone then it dropped.

"Kellin" Andy yelled

My dad runned into the kitchen.

"What happened" he asked

"I don't know she answered her phone then dropped it" Andy said

I walked into the kitchen. Andy picked up the phone.

"Ashton" she said

"No. No its not true" she said beginning to sob

I walked over to her and hugged her. She endded the called and hugged me back.

"My moms dead" she cried

My mom cryed harder. Her phone rang again. I answered it this time.

"C's phone. Jay speaking" I said

"Where's C" a man asked

"Sobbing in my dads arms" I said

"What about Andy" he asked

"Sobbing in my arms" I said

"Who is this" the guy asked

"Jay Bostwick" I said

"Can I talk to your dad" he asked

I handed the phone to my dad who answered.

"Hello" he said

"She's in labor" he asked

"Be there soon" he said

He endded the call and stood my mom up.

"Come on babe we gotta get to the hospital" he said

"Why" she sobbed

"Tiff's in labor let's go" he said

Andy stood up straight.

"This can't be happening" she said sobbing still

"Wait what's going on" I asked

"I'll tell you in the car Jay" my dad said

I nod and help my aunt to the car. I ran back into the house and picked Mason up. I grabbed her diaper bag and bottles and the formula. I raced with Mason  in my arms out to the car.

"shit I forgot her car seat" I said racing back inside putting her in her car seat and then racing back outside to the car putting her in the car seat holder. I buckled in and, my dad drove to the hospital. My mom and aunt some how both fell asleep. I was playing with Mason.

"do you like kids Jay" My dad asked

"yeah they are so cute" I said smiling

He smiled.

"so dad what's going on" I asked

"your mom's mom had cancer. She died this morning then your other aunt just went into labor" he said

"That's horrible" I said

"Yes, yes it is" he said

"One life is lost, one life is born" I said

"that was very deep" my dad said

I nodded.

"so how many aunts do I have" I asked

"3 aunts, 3 uncles, plus the people they are married to" he said

"what are there names" I asked

"your aunts are Andy you know her she's 3 months pregnant, Tiff she's the one who's in labor, Amber who is now 5 months pregnant, then your uncle Ashton has two kids, Matt and Alex, and I have two brothers I don't talk to" he said

I nodded.

"big family" I said

"big, but awesome. You will love them" he said

We finally pulled up to the hospital. I woke up Andy, grabbed Mason's car seat and we went inside. My mom and Andy went into the room while my dad and I went into the waiting room. We sat there waiting for about 5 hours. I fell asleep on my dad's shoulder for most of the time. Finally at about midnight my mom came out. I was just waking up.

"healthy baby boy" she squealed

My dad hugged her.

"that's great babe" he said

"come meet  him" she said taking Mason from his lap

She turned and looked at me.

"they wanna meet you" she said

I stood up still half asleep. My dad came over, and picked me up. He walked to the room, my mom opened the door for him, while holding a sleeping Mason. He walked in with me on his hip. I had my head on his shoulder.

"this is Jay" Andy said

I lifted my head up, and looked.

"she just woke up" my dad said

"how old is she" a guy asked

"14. Jay that Nick, and Tiff. Tiff's is holding there son Jack" my mom said

I waved then put my head back on my shoulder.

"why don't we go home, and come back tomorrow when everyone is awake" my mom said looking at Mason and I

My dad nodded walking out of the room. He waited for my mom and aunt Andy, then walked to the car. I fell asleep on the drive home. My dad picked me up, and took me to my room. He put me on my bed then kissed my head.

"goodnight Jay" he said

"night daddy" I said falling back to sleep
