Once I got Elijah settled down in a room, I decided to go home,

"Hey Mark, you wanna come back to mine. You can stay there until you decide what you wanna do?" I ask him once I find him,

"You sure that's okay?"

"Of course." I smile at him and he reaches into my pocket making me look at him confused,

"What are you-" But he interrupts me by waving my keys around,

"I'm driving." He smiles and walks off. I laugh and follow him. He drives us back to my apartment and we walk in.

"Carolina? Baby? Is that you?" I hear a voice ask, making me stop in my tracks, why is he here? I walk into the living room where I see him sat on the floor looking at photos,

"What are you doing here? I told you to pick up your things and leave. I don't want to ever see you again." I told him,

"Come on. You cant be serious. You cant throw all of this away for nothing. Give me a second chance. Please." He begs and Mark walks in,

"You okay?" He asks me quietly,

"Yeah just, go wait in the kitchen, please?" He nods him head and walks away,

"So what, you leave in the middle of our wedding and now you're with him?" He scoffs,

"I'm not with him Jason, I'm letting him stay the night as he has nowhere else to go. He's my friend, and this is my apartment so I can do whatever the hell I want. Now if you don't leave in the next minute, I'm going to call the police because like I said at the wedding, we are over Jason." I tell him walking away to Mark. Not long after, I hear the door slam signalling that he left.

"You sure you're okay?" He asks, handing me a cup of coffee,

"Yeah, I'm good." We sit on the couch and put on a film, both falling asleep halfway through it.

The Next Morning:

I'm down in the pit when the paramedics bring in a baby, and Alex responds,

"What's going on?" He asks, "Doctor Robbins!" He calls me over,

"Premature new born found in a trashcan at Turner prep school. The Umbilical cord's still attached." The paramedic tells us making my eyes widen,

"You didn't start an IV. He's dehydrated." I snap at him,

"Couldn't find a vein." He tells me,

"I need to get IV access. Get me an I.O. needle and I need a neonatal intubation kit." I tell Alex and he turns to a near by nurse,

"Olivia go MOVE!" He shouts to her,

"They pulled me from the floor. I'm just down here helping with the flu overflow. Alex how old is that baby?" She asks and I take the baby and leave, walking quickly trying to find anywhere that's not covered in flu germs, Alex following me,

"Wait, wait what are you doing?" Olivia shouts after us,

"If you think we're going to leave this sick premature infant in the OR..." He starts,

"He has to be admitted. You can't just take him..." Olivia says back,

"Just page Addison Shepherd. Tell her to meet me in the NICU." I tell her, walking off,

"Robbins? Karev?" She asks walking in a while later,

"Premature new born with Petechia." Alex tells her,

"What's his platelet count?" She asks,

"17,000." I say,

"17,000? Did you transfuse platelets?" Addison asks making me roll my eyes,
