My parents had told me stories of the beautiful place called Asgard since I was a child. They told me about the magnificent halls made of pure gold. About the carvings on the walls and the long halls full of rooms beyond imagination. About the people who lived there and the magic that the palace held. The princes, princesses and the royals who roamed the halls. They told me about the gods from norse mythology that lived there in peace and maintained harmony between the Nine realms of the Universe. The Allfather Odin and his two sons, Loki and Thor. The warriors three and Lady Sif. The Valkyrie and the brave soldiers who fought to keep everything balanced. All my life I thought these were just silly fairy tales.

Until the day they came and took my family and my life from me. It was as if my heart was ripped from my chest. All I could remember was my mother calling for someone. While they attacked our home, demanding to know where I was.

Why would they be looking for me. My mother tried to calm me and assure me that everything was going to be just fine. She kept talking about the Odin from the stories and that I had to tell him whose daughter I was. What do you mean?, I whispered while tears rolled down my cheeks. I was so confused and scared. I heard a bang from the door and saw them coming towards us. Then something unreal happened. I saw a purple light coming from my mothers hands. She threw a ball.. or something towards them.

I could not understand what was happening. Then it happened. A sword pierced my mothers body. I fell to my knees on the floor unable to process what had happened. I tried to scream but nothing came out. My eyes were too full of tears for me to be able to see anything. They grabbed me and threw me to a Wall. I whimpered from the striking pain that it caused. A knife was put on my throat. It made a small cut on my neck. I looked it straight in the eyes. I tried not to show any form of fear. In my mind I was praying to god for saving. I was never religious but when your looking at death straight in the eye, you do anything to be saved. It and it's companions dragged me to the middle of the room babbling answers about a prophecy. I couldn't answer them even if I knew the answer. All I could feel was pain from them hurting me with all kinds of ways simply because I did not know about some prophecy. I closed my eyes and accepted my faith.

Suddenly I heard my mothers voice saying, "Heimdal, valiant watcher of the realms. I beg you, help my daughter. Open the bridge." Before taking her final breath she closed her eyes and told me she loved me.

It felt like my soul was ripped from my body. My parents were all I had. And now they were gone. Forever.. There was suddenly a bright light I was too enaumoured by to noticed they were thrown back. I closed my eyes. Suddenly everything went Black and I Felt at peace. I had gotten away.
