Ely is really surprised, there is no way she imagined that she would meet the man of her fantasies, the man she idolized since she was a teen ager, and now she only didn't met Josh, she's going to share a room with him.
When she said "excuse me" she meant "Are you sure about that?" but Josh seems to have a misconception with her reaction.
"Okay miss, I understand your concern, I'm sorry I'm just trying to help." Josh said.
"You should take it." The staff told Ely. "The weather could be worst according to the news, and I don't doubt them now, I mean look outside."
Ely turn her head and observe the outside, snows are pouring, there's a bulk of snow blocking the main entrance of the hotel. The hotel put a closed note on the door.
"Don't worry, I won't bite."
Ely has no choice; well even if she does she won't have that other choice. She will choose to be with Josh of course.
They came out of the elevator, as they walk towards the room Josh starts a conversation.
"How long do you think this snow storm would last?"
"Honestly, I have no idea. I promise I will leave as soon as the weather..."
"I didn't mean than, I'm just striking up a conversation."
Ely gave Josh a very shy smile, there is a saying that "when it rains it pours" and right now, Ely is hoping in her mind for a new saying 'When it snows, let it fall pleeeaaassseee.'
As they entered the room Josh occupied the couch vigorously. Then he motions his hand on the other side asking Ely to sit.
"Thank you" Ely again gave Josh a very shy smile.
"You have a name?"
"Ely, Elydia Reyes"
"Spanish"
"Kind of...I was born and raised here but I descend from half Spanish-half Chinese blood, both of my parents are Filipino."
"I was told about Filipina beauties, but nobody warned me about how captivating they are."
'Okay that's what I called projection' Ely said to herself. But she's flattered, coming from Josh that was something. Ely controlled her emotions, fuelled with happiness with the thought that she captivates Josh eyes.
"I'm Josh by the way."
"I know I'm a fan."
Josh grimed, and gave Ely a sour smile.
"I don't want to be with a fan today."
"I'm sorry but I am, do you want me to leave?"
"You know that's not what I meant; you don't look stupid to me."
"Well, I am not stupid, I'm a journalism student at NYU, and I happened to be on a dean's list."
"Really?" Josh lifts his eyebrows.
"I am not trying to impress you Sir but.."
"Oh please call me Josh, and I'm impressed already so don't bother to explain."
Ely looks down at her shoes; she's got nothing left to say.
"Can we just spend the moment with "who" we are and not "what" we do, you know like kids on a park, they talk to someone and they get along and played together, just like that."
"Yeah, sure" Ely again delivered a very shy smile.
"And could you please stop controlling your smile because I think you have a beautiful smile and I don't want that snow storm outside to end not seeing it."
'He's really good with words', Ely said to herself but then she let go of her smile.
"That's better, you want some breakfast?"
Ely nods, over breakfast they talked things about themselves, the question and answer portion goes on.
And Ely never thought how gracious and nice Josh Scurlock is, she knew he's nice with his fans, but he said he doesn't want to be with a fan and Ely wondered 'is he really this nice.'
Josh laughs and talks, he's very candid, not worried with how he would act, often times Ely thinks that Josh is a shy type kind of person but she now think he's not. 'Maybe he's uncomfortable being the center of attraction.'
And in the room they occupied, both of them are the center of attraction. And Ely can't help but adore this really fine creature in front of her.
Lunch came and they both didn't notice the time. Josh ordered another set of food for lunch and they continue to talk, till they talk about what kind of movies they would like to watch.
Josh turn on the TV and the movie "My Best Friend's wedding" had a re-run on HBO.
"You saw that?" Josh asks Ely.
"Do you?"
"Nah!" Josh slightly shakes his head with disappointment "But if you want to watch, that's fine with me."
Ely shakes her head. She saw that movie 20th times. Josh touch the remote then he stopped, the movie "Bourne Supremacy" was on another channel.
"How about that one?" Josh asks Ely.
She wanted to say 'yes' and add 'I have that on my DVD and book collection' but she chose not to.
"Good, I saw that movie like hundred times but I still wanna watch it, is that okay with you?"
'Me too' Ely whispered, not only watched but read like thousand times but she just nod. Ludlum wrote the novel and he does a great job in those series like he did with his other novels, and Matt Damon gave justice to the character.
It would be fun to watch it again, especially if you're with Josh Scurlock.
They're in the climax of the movie when out of nowhere Josh asks Ely.
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
