Something is missing

"So... Hobi-ssi, you work as a writer?"  I sat quietly, propping my chin while looking at Hobi's face who was busy with his cooking activities, the stairs moved nimbly mixing the food ingredients in front of him.  Sometimes I see his lips pursed as if he was thinking something.

Yes, we are currently in my apartment, cooking together, an activity that we often do lately.  More precisely, he cooks and I finish the cooking.

For some reason, even though we've only known each other for no more than a month, I feel like I've known him more than this.  And made me feel open about everything to him.

Sometimes I even accidentally memorize habits that he has never shown in front of me.

"Yes, for now," he answered, looking doubtful, nodding his head slowly.  For a few seconds his gaze stared ahead before returning to busy with the spatula in his hand.

"Now?"

"Yeah, because I'm just a freelance writer. If my writing is published they will pay for it. Like that," He paused for a moment, then smiled sweetly at me.

"So... when did you start working?"  He asked while stuffing the food in my mouth, his eyes focused on my lips which were full of his experimental food, the food this time wasn't bad.

"Ummm minghu epan."  I said with my mouth full of food.

He took a napkin and wiped my smudged mouth.  I smiled and said a silent 'thank you' with my mouth full.

He smiled and kissed my cheek quickly, "finish the food," he continued as he passed in front of me.

"Where are you going?"  I grabbed his hand, holding him back.

"Washing clothes, your dirty clothes have piled up like a mountain," Hobi pursed his lips cutely, making me excited and pulling him to sit on my lap.

Aren't we already like a newlywed couple?  "Accompany me to eat first"

I stroked his soft mane, removing the few that were blocking his view.

"Tch, you spoiled brat. Alright big baby, I'll feed you."  He said with a low chuckle at the end.

We looked at each other before we burst into laughter when the growling sound coming from Hobi's stomach sounded so loud.

I didn't realize then that I had forgotten something important in my life again.
