RamYa ke Marital Adventures

An Introduction

This fanfiction is based upon the popular Hindi show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, starring Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar in the lead roles. Here is a description of the main characters and their backstories, for those of you who aren't familiar with the show.

Ram Kapoor: A 38-year old rich businessman, who is a hopeless romantic with a love for the Mumbai rains. He loved and still loves (or thinks he does) only one woman, Vedika, who is now married to Shashi, another businessman. Ram's father died in an accident, and he lives with a step mother Nandini, step sister Shivina, and step brother Shubham, whom he regards as his real family. Of course, that's not true the other way around. Ram's family uses him, and the only love he receives is from his friends Brinda, Adi, Kunal and Vikrant. Oh, and Ram loves to eat. He lives to eat, and not the other way around :)

Priya Sood: A heartbroken 32-year old professor, sister and daughter. She doesn't like the idea of love and cliches surrounding it. She hates the rain with a passion, all because of the betrayal the two men in her life brought upon her. Priya's father left her mother because she had four daughters, and her ex-boyfriend Neeraj married her younger sister Maitri right after they broke up. Priya's family is very warmhearted and her cousin brother Akshay loves her the most, Priya's older sister Sara runs a bakery (which is good because Ram loves cake), and Priya's youngest sister Sandy is a naughty sibling who brings a smile on everyone's face.

The two families are forming an alliance because Ram's step sister Shivina, and Priya's cousin brother Akshay love each other, and Akshay wants his sister Priya to get married before he does. Ram and Priya eventually decide, for the betterment and happiness of both families, to get hitched, despite their differences and broken hearts. Their relationship is one of friendship and mutual understanding.

Inspired from a tale of two drastically apart humans becoming one, this fanfiction is dedicated to all the RamYa fans and avid readers believing in the ups and downs of love.
