My heart,
Never have I ever thought you'd tell me something like this again.
It's hard to admit
There's been hollowness in me since you put our communication to an end.
It's been nothing but daydreams.
Unrequited scenarios played through my mind.
Your humor and smile on replay in my head.
I'd walk in the room,
And your energy lit up my world.
Now you tell me you've felt this way all along.
An unlikely complement,
This is what you called our dynamic.
Realization swept over you too late
When you realized what you truly wanted.
I am still here
I have never left
Even against my better judgement
Reconnecting these frayed strings will be no problem.
This time,
Hold me tight and don't let me go.
