After I got my lessons done I headed toward the barns. I tacked up Colorado. He was a little nippy with the girth. When i mounted him he was fine. After some walking we picked up a trot and a canter and some periyette. He was fine in everything. After I rode him I took him back to the barn and un-tacked him.
I walked into my dorm where Dana was wearing jean shorts and a red t-shirt. "How was Colorado", she asked while pulling her hair into a pony tail. "Good", I said. "I rode Snowy this morning we did 3 feet jumps", Dana continued "she is fantastic". "Great", Whitney walked in "my horse is also fantastic infact every horse here is fantastic, oh and Alexis you know Victoria Smith she is Dynasty's rider".
The next morning I walked into the barn and I saw Victoria petting Dynasty. "Hey you must be Alexis congrats on getting into dressage and getting Colorado", Victoria said enthusaticlly "we have an 11:30 class today, it's just us and Andi she is Picasso's rider".
Dynasty was a bay gelding who was around 16. hands and super sweet. I tacked Colorado up and met everyone in the ring. Andi had black hair and blue eyes and she was really nice, Picasso was a dappled gray gelding.
"Okay class welcome, I am Ms. Orlin your dressage instructor, you have the 11:30 dressage class and it will always be just you 3, you will also take jumping well some of you anyways please meet me in my office if you want to do jumping". Ms. Orlin said crisply. "Okay I want Alexis to pick up a trot at A and then Victoria I want you and Andi to canter a circle starting at C".
Andi and Victoria were great riders compared to me. Colorado kept fidgeting when we started to canter. When I rounded his head though he was fine.
After the lesson I went to dinner and met up with Dana, Elizabeth, and Whitney. "Victoria said you did great", Whitney told me "she is so excited that your doing dressage with her". "Everyone in the school is taking about you and Colorado", Elizabeth and Dana added "even the teachers your really good".
