Chapter 18

(*Meanwhile with Eren and Mikasa; Eren's POV*) (He's still a titan.)

I was being gingerly with my steps, not wanting to squish people while looking for titans to kill. I'm getting exhausted because I keep transforming and transforming because titans keep eating my titan body.

Then, I saw a titan with a little girl in it's hand, not far from where I am. I looked down in front of the titan, and saw Aiko screaming for help. The little girl must be someone important to her.

Without hesitation, I rushed over to the titan and grabbed the arm where it was holding the little girl.

I inserted my teeth into the back of the neck, and removed it with my teeth. I then screamed after (or roared in his titan form).

I looked at the little girl, and she was whimpering. She cried in fear "PLEASE DON'T EAT ME! I'LL BE A GOOD GIRL!"

Because I didn't want her to see me as a threat, I put down the chopped-off arm and walked away to slaughter more titans.

(*Aiko's POV*)

Upon the giant's departure, I helped Misaki (the little girl) set free as quickly as I could.

Once she was free, Misaki hugged me as tightly as she could.

"It was so scary, Aiko. I thought I was going to die!" MIsaki explained to me. She then started to cry.

"It's okay, Misaki. It's over. How about I cook some Katsudon when we get home?"

I asked her. Hopefully, this will cheer her up.

Misaki cheered "YAY! KATSUDON!" '

I covered her mouth and whispered loudly to her "Don't yell. You might attract attention."

"Sorry." Misaki apologized.

"It's fine." I answered back. "I wonder why that giant spared you, though."

Misaki went "Same, but don't worry! It may do the same to other giants!"

I smiled. This is why I like her. MIsaki is always optimistic even when things are tough.

Out of curiosity, I asked her "I know this may be risky, but do you want to find that giant again?"

"Yes, please. I want to know why it spared me." Misaki replied.

I nodded, and left to go find that giant.

'If I don't see you again, Good Giant, I want to say thank you for saving my little cousin.' I said in my head.

(*Deku's POV*)

Our search for Eren has turned into a disaster! We looked around the city, and we all saw titans eating people around us. Eren was right, they ARE terrifying!

In a matter of seconds, eight titans drew their attention towards us.

"W-why are they looking at us?" Hagakure interrogated us in fear.

Iida stated "Now's not the time to be scared. We need to let the pro heroes handle them."

"No sh!t, the pros aren't going to stop them! They're probably dead." Kacchan told all of us.

"Don't say those kinds of things, Bakugou!" Iida commanded him.
