"Saebyeok partner with me, ill make sure you win no matter what."

Is this what Jiyeong had meant when she said that? Losing the game on purpose just so Saebyeok could win?

Questions ran around in Saebyeok's head as she grabbed the other girls collar and pushed her against the wall, anger and confusion fuming out of her.

"Why.. Why did you do that?" She asked the smaller girl with eyebrows furrowed.

"I don't know what you mean, it must've slipped yknow." Jiyeong replied while shrugging.

Saebyeok was confused, mad, and worst of all hurt. Why is she trying to act like nothing happened when she clearly had did it on purpose?

"Dont tell me lies! I saw what you had did Jiyeong!"

"Why can't you let me lose in style? I had lost and thats what happened."

Style? Who cares about style with your life is on the line for money?

Saebyeok knew her time was running out since she had saw the guard giving her a look.. or so she assumed through the mask at least.

"You have a reason." Jiyeong simply stated

"A reason?"

"You have a reason to stay, a family to get back to out there. I have nothing, no family, no friends out there. If I had won what would it mean? I have no one to share it with.. but you do. Get your mother and go save your little brother Saebyeok."

Tears streamed down the taller girls face as she gripped the collar harder, the guard already walking towards them.

"I'll win for you." Saebyeok said as she let go and turned away from the girl.

Walking away from Jiyeong was hard, she stopped once she heard the guard put the gun to the girls head. The tears running down her face as she stared ahead.

"Kang Saebyeok! Thanks.. for playing with me." Jiyeong said as the gunshot had finally went off, causing Saebyeok to jump and eventually walk forward.

Saebyeok smiled as she stared at the ceiling as she laid in that cold bed, holding onto her waist. She knew she didn't have much time so she just stayed still.

She wonders what Jiyeong would've thought of her, would she be proud or would she be ashamed? It didn't really matter at this point she guessed.

Gihun has sat by her and looked at her with soft eyes, she looked back and wondered what she did to deserve him as someone who cared about her.

"Gihun, let's make a promise."

"What promise do you mean Saebyeok-Ah?"

Saebyeok stared ahead at Sangwoo and thought for a little, she knew she was running out of time.

"If one of us doesn't make it, promise we'll take care of eachothers family-"

"Saebyeok what are you saying-"

"My brother lives in an orphanage and my mother is in North Korea, please bring her back. And if you don't make it ill take care of your daughter and mother.."

Gihun shut his mouth and looked ahead as well, nodding to her promise.

"Okay Saebyeok I promise, what had happened to your mother anyways?"

Silence came from Saebyeok as her eyes felt heavy, fighting to keep them open for Jiyeong and her family. She didn't want to go and tears had fell down her face.

"Hey- Saebyeok? Saebyeok whats wrong?" Gihun asked as he shook her body, soon his hands were painted with blood.

He panicked and ran up to the door, screaming thats she dying and needs help. Not noticing Sangwoo had gotten up and walked towards her.

Saebyeok, paralyzed had looked up at him and gave a slight smile before he stuck the knife in her throat, the pain not effecting her as she looked up once again.

"Jiyeong.. I'm sorry." She muttered before her sight went black and her soul had faded from her bloody body.

Once she saw a bright light she had opened her eyes once again, raising her hand to block the light.

'Where am I? Why am I still alive?'

She sat up and had heard the sounds of the ocean, confused she looked at the ground and saw golden sand at her fingertips.

"Saebyeok! Kang Saebyeok!"

Saebyeok whipped her head around and saw someone she was so grateful to see, getting up as tears fell from her cheek she ran.

She hugged the shorter girl and cried, sobbing into her hair as she couldn't contain herself.

"Jiyeong-Ah.. You're here I- where are we?"

"Jeju island dumbass, I guess you kicked the bucket too."

Saebyeok and Jiyeong laughed through the pain and held each others hands, finally happy that their promise had been fulfilled.
