❝IRIS bitchyou hear me calling you." Halo huffed as I ignored her trying to finish the assignment that our English teacher assigned to us.
"Halo girl you know better than to be calling me that."
"So I was thinking if my next hairstyle should a buss down or braids." She said ignoring what I said completely.
Halo was my best friend and has been for since forever. She's literally my other half you don't see one with out the other. Both of our Grannies were best friend and they brought us together hoping for the same. And it worked obviously .
"Depends on the type of braids." I spoke not looking up.
"Ion know probably some feed ins with a heart on the side or sum like that." She slid her phone to me trying to show me a video.
"Here." I have gave her my finished worksheet so she could copy. "Yea get these this cute, I feel like the heart getting played out."
"Miss Murphy may you please silence your phone it's causing a disturbance." Our Teacher Mrs.Blade spoke as my phone went off with another notification from cashapp.
"I'm sorry Mrs.Blade." I quickly mumbled putting my phone on DND.
"Her ass just want something to say cause she know you done." Lo smacked her lips. "Broke ass probably never even that type of notification before, you shouldn't even had said sorry."
Even though Halo and I were best friends we wasn't shit alike. We was like night and day literally, but I always thought that's why we were so close. Halo had one of those radiant personalities but was also rowdy at the same time. While me on the other hand, I'm not as outgoing as here but I wasn't overly shy.
Halo got mad anytime somebody said she didn't like too me. She's been protective of me since we were younger. It wasn't like I was mute and didn't speak up for myself, it's just that I rarely have the energy to entertain negativity. If you ain't stopping my money or putting hands on me I wouldn't care less what you said.
Unless you say I'm a hoe or broke Ima clear that shit right up.
"Girl forget him and finish that paper." I grabbed my phone checking the time. "Class almost over anyway."
