Lauren's POV
I see Liz slowly returning from the forests. "What happened?" I ask, concerned, as I lean onto Ben for support. I had fallen twice, causing my knee to bleed and become sore. He had offered to carry me but I refused.
"Richard returned to leave me..." Liz sobs. "Sorry to hear that, Liz-" I was cut off to seeing a small flash of brown steal my phone and dash into the bushes. "My phone!!" I rush after it, hearing Ben attempt to chase after me but stop.
My hearing is drowned out by the concerned cries, mostly Ben's. I chase after it until it stops.
My heart skips a beat.
"R-Richard!!?" I snatch my phone from him and stare at him in surprise. He quickly starts to climb onto my shoulder. I hear a faint raspy purr erupt.
I smile. "I never knew you liked me, Richard..."
