Joshua kept looking at those bushes, holding his breath, without blinking his eyes. In the dead silence of the midnight hours, he could literally feel the thumping of his heart loudly.

Joshua couldn't understand why was he being so restless anticipating the next moments. Was he so curious to know what was coming out of the bushes? He kept fidgeting his fingers while intensely looking at those dense bushes beneath the massive architecture of the resort.

Now he could literally see the bushes shaking so violently, he felt the roots might get ripped off of the earth any second.

Chilly breeze, mild moon light and the snowfall in the dark hours of midnight. He could literally sense the changes happening in the environment as if the whole atmosphere was desperately waiting and preparing for someone's arrival.

Joshua started feeling cold all of a sudden as loud thumping of someone's footsteps were approaching, rupturing the leaves beneath. He thought of going back to his bed, but a small part of him wanted to stay back to see what was happening in that dark night and may be that small part of him overpowered his mind.

Joshua's eyes almost popped out of their saucers when he saw a huge built of human figure coming slowly out of the dark plush bushes or he thought so. He couldn't see clearly anything as it was dark everywhere. But when the figure completely came out of the bushes, breath knocked out of his lungs. It wasn't a human being, atleast not fully. The massive creature with a huge built had a human body but the face looked like that of a wolf than a normal human, in the mild moon light he could see the wild and weird structure of the face of that monstrous creature.

But that wasn't it. There was more to the story. Joshua started sweating profusely the moment he saw what that creature was carrying on it's shoulder. He couldn't believe his eyes what was he seeing for a fraction of second. Though he was a bit scared, he was curious at the same time. He so badly wanted to go down and see what was actually cooking in the dark. After a lot of debate with his inner self he decided to go out and check what was that weird man doing in the middle of the night.

Joshua was a lawyer & obviously loved investigations, especially solving the mysteries. So, that investigative mind kicked in, when he saw this weird phenomenon happening and he couldn't stop himself from finding out who or what was that man/creature. He knew it wasn't safe at all to go out in the night, that too alone when he is unaware of the danger lying in the dark but the impulse of the adrenaline rush was too exciting for him to not to react on it. He knew he won't get any sleep tonight until he goes down and gets a closure.

He didn't waste time, he straight away rushed towards the lift and within the next minute he was at the ground floor of the resort. There was literally no one at the lobby area, it looked completely deserted. What surprised him more was the fact that even the reception desk was empty. Only a few dim lights in the passage area were on. The setting looked weird but he had no time to ponder on such things, so he hurried towards the entrance of the resort and rushed outside.

He came out of the premises of the resort and went towards where those bushes were situated. It wasn't pitch black, mild moon light was helping him greatly. He had a pocket torch in the pocket of his pant in case of any emergencies but right now he wasn't thinking of using a torch and alerting that weird creature about his presence. He ran towards the bushes and caught the sight of that man walking down the narrow path leading towards the mountains.

Without making any noise, Joshua slowly tiptoed behind the huge build manly creature. That weird wolf-man looked more scarier from close up. He also had a huge tail like that of a crocodile, which Joshua had missed earlier while watching from the balcony of his floor. He had never ever seen anything like this before in his life.

What shocked Joshua more was the fact that the wolf-man was carrying a dead body of a man on his shoulder like a sack of potatos. The state of that dead body was disgusting to look at. Eyes were bulged out of their sockets, tongue was hanging low from the open mouth. Skin looked peeled off from the body and the skull was half broken with blood still dripping off of it.

The sight of that dead body made Joshua nauseous for a moment, he thought of running away from this place and going back to the hotel, to the comfort of his room, but something was holding back him tightly not letting him move an inch from the place.

He couldn't move at all. But what was it!? His curiosity? Some unknown energy?He couldn't quite put his finger on that.

He felt rooted on the ground, when he saw what was stopping him from taking even a step further.
