"Now that was fun!" Ridley laughed, "I mean, did you see that one human's face-" Her back was turned towards him as she gazed upon the carnage. Although he couldn't see her face, he could sense that, something was troubling her. As if she was questioning things. A concerned look spread across his face. "Eve?" He asked, retrieving her from her thoughts. She gasped softly as she swerved towards him. "Are you okay?" He began, "You, kinda zoned out for a minute." Eve looked away for a moment, figuring out the best way to reply. "I... I was just... thinking, is all."

Ridley walked up to her, until he was so close she instinctively took a step back. He wiped the blood off her helmet with his hand, then held her cheek for a moment, taking in... her. Everything he's seen and knew about her.

Eve felt herself blush under her helmet as he stared at her.

They both stood there for what felt like an eternity, just taking in each other's presence.

"Sir."

Until Eve finally spoke up.

Ridley snapped out of his thoughts, removing his hand to massage his neck. He cleared his throat, "S-sorry! I uh, I don't know what came over me."

He looked around them, his smirk returning, "Looks like they can't spread the word anymore." He looked towards Eve again. "I'll see if I can connect this dump to the ship."

They both walked towards the ship's main hub, but Eve lagged behind. She recalled how Ridley acted while they attacked. She'd never seen him so... excited. Like killing those humans was the most fun he's had in years! She began to remember what the old guard said, how his eyes seemed devoid of emotion. She began to grow more curious as she followed.

As they went through the doors, she found herself staring at him, completely lost in thought, which caught his eye.

"Somethin' you like, Eve~?" Ridley purred, causing her to look away in embarrassment. He chuckled softly as he hacked into the hub, seeing her reaction as "cute". He couldn't help but smile as he glanced towards her again.

After a few minutes, he spoke up. "Looks like the ship's too far right now. And this piece of junk doesn't have enough fuel to get there." He looked back at her, crossing his arms as he continued, "thankfully, there's a planet less than halfway there, so we can rest up while I find something to make a substitute for it." He set a course for the planet.
