Hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya. I'm a basketball player at Creek High. People would say I'm pretty good, I would hope so, heh. Others think I have the perfect life. Since I get invited to a lot of parties, I'm pretty popular, and a lot of people like me. But to me, it's the opposite. There's no excitement that I want. It just feels like everyone is pretending to be someone they aren't just to get some extra likes on Instagram.
I want to find or meet someone that can have that impact on me. But who am I kidding, like anyone like that would actually just come in my life out of the blue. My thoughts were interrupted by someone's voice. "Hi, Izuku," Ochako exclaimed with a smile.
I smiled back at her, "hey, Ochako." "You did really good at the game yesterday!" "Thanks." "I got some really cool photo," she said with a smile. Ochako was part of the school's news paper. She took care of the sports side. Mainly basketball since our football team is pretty bad. I looked at the photos. "They're really good, Ochako." "I know right!!!!" She seemed super happy about her photos and began to rant about what she was going to write about.
Then I had an odd feeling. I felt like someone was staring at me. I turned to the direction and saw a blonde boy with black clothing and piercings. His ruby eyes were looking at mine. His eyes widened when he saw me looking at him and he quickly left. "What was that," ochako asked, looking at the direction he went. "I'm not sure..." "Emo kids are always creepy tbh." "Hey, don't say that. I bet they're super cool. I mean, what they wear is cool." "Izuku, are you feeling okay," ochako asked in slight concern.
"I'm fine," I said through a chuckle. "Everyone knows that they are creepy. I heard that an emo kid killed someone in a warehouse." "What? That's just a rumor." "It's trueeee," she said. I didn't believe her. That's too over dramatic just for a single person. "Besides, isn't emo just a style," I said and raised a brow at her. She went quiet for a second. "Not the point, Izuku. If you hang out with them, you'll just get yourself into trouble." "But hanging out with them would be fun."
She laughed, "You have fun with that, Izuku. I'll bring black roses to your funeral for you friends." "Thanks?" "What are friends for," she smiled. I did want to talk to them. Especially that Blondie, his eyes were beautiful. I want to learn about him. Get to know him more. I looked at the direction he went and the bell rang. "Welp, gotta go to class. See ya!" Ochako left to her class. I walked to mine soon after she left.
My first class was Science. I didn't really pay attention in this class since the teacher was pretty slow with teaching things and repeated the same things each class. I let my mind run with thoughts of what to do. Maybe I should talk to them at lunch? Yeah, that would be a good idea. And a lot of people like me so maybe they'll like me. But I've noticed that not a lot of people talk to them. Like they're outcasts or something. That just made me feel sad.
"Izuku!" I quickly paid attention. "What percentage of the earth is covered by water?" She's asked this question so many times so I replied "71%, miss." "Correct, Izuku." She went back to her lesson. My mind kept thinking about that blonde boy. Maybe it was curiosity? I'm not too sure. But I smiled slightly thinking about my arm around him as he nuzzled closer to me.
~Time skip, it is now lunch time~
I got a tray and looked around. I saw the basketball team laughing and goofing around. Some of them had their arms around their girlfriends, who were cheerleaders. I didn't have a girlfriend since most people new I was bi. Besides, most of these girls wore so much makeup. I'm not sure what's real and what's not. So I like boys more. The team was waving for me to come over then I saw him. He was sitting at a table with his friends. They all wore black but they each had one color to go with the black.
I looked at the team and pointed at their table. They looked at me in confusion but they nodded for me to go. Ochako was shaking her head for me not to go. I didn't listen to her and went to their table. They looked at me. "Hi, can I sit with you guys," I asked. "Sure," the girl with pink hair said. But at the same time, a boy with red hair said no. I looked at them. "Don't listen to him, please sit." She pulled the blonde boy closer to her so I could sit next to him. I sat down, "Thanks."
The blonde boy was looking down and fidgeting with his fingers. God, he was cuter closer. "So why are you at our table? Trying to make fun of us or something," the boy with red hair said. I heard a kick, "ow!" He gave the blonde boy a glare. "What's your name," the girl asked. "My name is Izuku," I said. "And you guys?" "My name is Mina," the girl said. "I'm Denki," said the boy with yellow hair. "I'm Eijiro," said the guy who doesn't seem to like me. I looked at the blonde boy, waiting for his response. "My name is Katsuki," he whispered. "That's a lovely name," I replied. I noticed a slight blushed and he thanked me. I felt my cheeks burn up a little.
"So, how are you guys," I asked. They all said good but Eijiro said "I was better before you came." Katsuki kicked him again. "Stop kicking me because I'm being mean to your boyfriend!" Katsuki and I both blushed. "Be quiet, Eijiro," Mina said. "What are you favorite classes," I asked, trying to break the suspense. "I like drama," Mina said. "I like science," Denki replied. "I like math," Eijiro said. "I like art," Katsuki replied, with a quiet voice. "Me too," I said with a smile. He looked at me and I saw those ruby eyes again. "Might as well kiss now, huh," Eijiro said. Katsuki kicked him again.
"Stop it!" "You stop," Katsuki said a little louder. "Y-yeah, Katsuki is really good. Show him your book, Katsuki." I noticed what Mina was doing. I smiled at her. "I would love to see your work," I said. Katsuki nodded and grabbed his sketchbook from his bag. He handed it to me and I set it on the table to look at. I looked through the pages and was amazed. A lot of these were sketches and they were really good. I noticed who some of them were. I saw basketball players, students from school, and his friends. "Wow, these are really good, Kat," I said and looked at him. He looked at me and I saw a blush on his face. "Kat," he asked. "Oh, sorry. Want me to call you by your name?" I was worried I said something wrong.
He shook his head. "I like it." I blushed. I went back to looking at his book. From the corner of my eye, I saw Mina nudging katsuki and smirking. He was blushing and quietly telling her to stop. I smiled and blushed. I went back to the book and my eyes widened what was on the page.
Cliffhanger >:3.
