Jiyoung ran for me at the hallway. Its been weeks since nung huli kaming magkita dahil narin sa hectic ng parehong scheds namin. Tumigil ako sa paglalakad at inantay siya na makalapit. As I always do.
"I bet you need to hear an explanation.." My jaw dropped hard. I was expecting na babati lang siya pero it turned out na parang seryoso yung convong sisimulan niya. I looked at him. He looked very uncomfortable with me and that is somehow frustrating.
"Don't bother. I don't want to hear any of it now besides nakapag move on na naman ang media. Let's just forget about it." Sinadya ko talagang iwasan yung tingin niya. I wouldn't want to look at him. That might kill me in instant.
"Look, Chaerin.. I know I brought you loads of headaches and I did promise you last month's issue will be the last but here I am again.. hinde ko alam kung saan mo kukunin yung guts para patawarin ako this time but please, believe me when I say, hinde ko talaga sinasadya. It wasn't my intention to drag you to these mess." His iredescent eyes were pleading and I just can't afford to turn down his apology.
"Okay, fine. We can't definitely talk about it here. Isa pa nagmamadali ako. What about dinner later? Are you free tonight?." I finally gave in. Wala din namang mangyayari kung titiisin ko pa siya. That'll change nothing though.
"Sure! Tonight then?." He smiled. Nag relax na din yung boses at posture niya. Good. Tumango lang ako at nagsimula nang maglakad ulit.
Tama bang ginawa ko? I'll know later at the dinner.
