Nino's POV
Adrien and I arrived at the meeting spot, but to our surprise, no one was there. "Dude, isn't Mari and her mother suppose to meet us here? Is this the correct spot?" I looked around, it seemed like the right spot... so where are they? "Yeah, they were and this is definitely the right spot. Look, their bags are here, maybe they got bored and went to explore?" Adrien sat upon the grass, thinking. "Wouldn't they leave a..." What are those? "...note.." Why is the ground so... Oh no! "Dude! Look!" I pointed towards the footprints markings that clearly indicated that a fight had occurred. I looked back over towards my bestfriend...of course, he was over-reacting. I sighed. I'm not sure what happened but I don't think they were attacked by Hawkmoth. How would he have found them and why would they continue the fight in the forest? It would be easier to fight in the open... "Chill dude! I'm sure there's a good explanation of what happened. And you know Marinette wouldn't go without a fight!" He nodded as he took a deep breath. "Alright! Let's search the forest and see if we find them..." I nodded. I'm pretty sure it's called a woodlot, not a forest but I don't wanna burst his bubble...
We began our search for a few minutes, we didn't want to go too far considering the fact that we didn't know the area that well and we'd rather not get lost... Unfortunately, we found nothing so we decided to return the meeting spot to think of our next move. Adrien was quietly thinking. He was worried and upset but I didn't know what to say. Some friend I am... I just hope they're okay. Hardly had we arrived when we stopped in our tracks. To our surprise, Marinette and her mother were sitting on the ground laughing. Was this all a prank? Nah, they didn't even see us yet. "You did go well! I'm so proud!" Her mother shouted as she flung her arms in the air. "I had a good teacher!" Marinette replied giving a wide grin. They burst out laughing again. "You should've seen the look on your face when I countered the attack!" Marinette pouted, "I could've won! But I'll get you next time, old lady!" Ms. Cheng placed a hand over her chest and the other on her forehead. "Old?! This 'old lady' just almost beat you!" She slightly nudged Marinette and they continued their energetic conversation. Adrien and I stood there frozen. I was frozen in thought about what they were talking about and where they went. Adrien on the other hand was just downright gawking over his girlfriend. Mumbling things like, "so pretty", "my warrior purrincess", "Her laughter's so cute" and other incoherent compliments. After about five minutes the two females stopped talking. "Are you two just going to stand there and eavesdrop?" Marinette asked without looking towards us. My eyes widened, did they know we were here and said nothing? Adrien was still gawking, he was already in his own world, so I'll have to answer. "Uh... Y-yeah! I mean no! Sorry! We didn't want to interrupt!" Her mother smiled. "It's alright. Come, sit. I'm certain we had you waiting for a bit. We apologize for that we got a bit carried away..." I dragged Adrien over and sat on the ground opposite the two females. Marinette pulled Adrien closer to her and began fiddling with his blonde hair. "So how long were you guys waiting while maman and I had a duel?" Did they fight each other? Why? Was it a type of training? That makes sense, considering her mother must be good at fighting to be able to accompany us. After all, if Hawkmoth does discover us, it will most likely end with a huge fight, and we will have no time to defend her since we'll be fighting for our own lives. Marinette wouldn't dare to endanger her mother's life so carelessly. To be honest, I was indeed curious about that but I thought it would be rude to ask. So I assumed she was just here to take care of us. I snapped out of my thoughts after hearing my name being yelled. "Huh?!" I looked around confused before realizing what was happening. "Sorry!" Marinette's mother smiled, "It's not a problem dear." I nodded gratefully. "We were here for about half an hour or a bit more. We went to look for you but we didn't want to go too far since we might get lost." Marinette smiled as she continued playing with Adrien's hair. Fortunately, Adrien wasn't gawking anymore... Unfortunately, he was now sound asleep. My eyes followed an ant as the carried a small piece of a green leaf. "Are we camping here tonight?" Marinette ignored my question but her mother replied. "We wanted you to rest a bit before we leave since we'll be walking for about forty-five minutes. Are you ready to go?" I nodded, "What about Adrien?" The older lady chuckled. "Sweetie, you have that covered, right?" Marinette didn't reply but instead nodded. Where did all her energy go? I know she loves Adrien but I didn't think their love was so strong that she'd completely change her mood and aura just to keep him asleep... I'm glad my bro got someone good. Now I miss Alya... I sighed. "Come on, let's go then!" Each of us stood up and dusted ourselves off. Marinette gently laid Adrien on the ground and place his bag on her back. Afterward, she picked him up bridal style and began walking. What about her suitcase? Will she just leave it there? Her mother sighed and grabbed the pink suitcase along with her own bag and silently followed after Marinette. I copied. "Don't be too loud or she'll get upset," Her mother whispered to me. "She would probably throw a fit if we wake him while she has to carry him since he'll start to move a lot and complicate her task." I nodded to indicate I understood and continued our journey in silence. After an hour we arrived since we stopped a bit for water breaks and to relax a little. However, the entire journey was silent after we began our journey. "This is where we'll be staying. Maman will show you your room, I'll go and put Adrien in his bed and start to unpack." Her mother placed the suitcase on the bluenette's head and she proceeded to walk into the cabin. That's impressive! The amount of balance and strength she has... Cool. Her mother sighed. "Sorry about that dear! Let me show you your room and when my son-in-law is awake we'll do a proper tour of the place!" She chuckled slightly and lead me inside. A tour? Why do we need a tour? The building is so small, we'll probably find everything on our own- Wait, did she say, 'son-in-law'? "Are they getting married?! And they didn't tell me? At such a young age too? Is it even allowed? Or was it like a promise for when they become adults?" The lady chuckled again. "Of course they aren't getting married, yet! It's just a joke, plus I already know that their love is strong. I'm hoping they stay together and get married! Adrien is such a nice boy!" Did I say that out loud? I blushed out of embarrassment. "Sorry!" She smiled as she opened the cabin's door. "I also hope they stay together. Adrien's happy with her. And I could tell she loves him dearly." And with that, we entered the 'small' cabin.

" And with that, we entered the 'small' cabin
