18 - Can't Resist

Tama nga siguro ang kasabihan na, 'Marami ang namamatay sa maling akala.' Tama rin ang paniwalaan na 'Never assume unless stated.' Kaya maraming nasasaktan e at umaasa. Isa na ata ako dun.

Akala ko kasi wala na akong iisipin after ng exam, mali pala ang akala ko. Kahit pansamantala lang. Pero di talaga e. Kaya ayun.

Nasaktan ako kasi umasa akong wala akong gagawin after exam. Hays. May thesis revision akong gagawin for a week. Cries inside.

Nakita ko si Simon na nakaabang na sa akin after kong lumabas sa office ng thesis adviser ko.

"How's your day?" he said.

"Pinaslang ni Ma'am ung thesis ko." I said dryly.

He laughed.

Sinamaan ko sya ng tingin. Loko!

"Bakit? Duguan ba?"

Then he laughed harder.

"AW!"

Hinampas ko nga! Baliw!

But he can't erase the smile on his face.

Humarap sya sa akin and we stopped at the middle of the sidewalk. He was smiling and I was pouting. Iniisip ko na magiging buhay ko for the next few days. Maglalamay na naman ako at ilang litrong kape ang iinumin ko.

GOSH! Zombified na ako by next deadline.

Nakatingin lang sya sa akin, grinning. Ako naman, pinapatay sya sa tingin. Panlabas lang ng stress.

"Wag ka nang malungkot. Ililibre kita!"

Nawala bigla ang depression ko with what he said.

"Gusto ko nang frappe!!" I said, excited.

Libre daw e. Tsaka bihira manlibre yang si Simon.

"Hmmm..." Mukhang maglalaho na rin yung ngiti ko, pinag-iisipan pa nya.

He pinched my cheeks. "Okay."

"Yes!"

I almost did my happy dance. Haha!

We were eating some cookies. Free cookies along with the frappe. Andito kami sa may corner ng favorite cafe namin. Gusto ko dito kasi kokonti lang ang tao, ganun din naman si Simon kasi nakakapag-aral sya. I was busy munching my cookie at binabasa ang comments sa draft habang si Simon naman abala sa pagbabasa ng notes niya.

"Tapos ka na ba sa thesis mo?" I asked.

Tumango naman sya at kumagat sa cookie nya. Luminga sya sa akin and stretched out his hand. He brushed his thumb on the corner of my lips and I saw some cream on his thumb. Na-shock lang ako nung nakita kong he licked his thumb!!

"Sweet." Balewala niyang sinabi na parang nag-comment lang sa weather!

"Why did you that?" I hissed.

He just chuckled, "Can't resist."

I glared at him.

Huminga ako ng malalim to calm my nerves. Nerves nga ba? Or yung sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko? Arrrgghhh. Naguguluhan na ako!

"Hoy, Gale."

Hindi ko siya pinansin. Pumikit na kasi ako baka sakaling makatulong para mapabilis ang pagpapakalma ko sa sarili.

"Uy, Gale." He nudged me. "Uy sorry na." He leaned on me. Sinilip ko sya at nakita kong his forehead is resting on my right shoulder. Magkatabi kasi kaming naka-upo. I was near the wall, and he's on the aisle.

"I'm sorry. Dapat di ko iyon ginawa, I knew that. I promised to myself that we would take it slow. But I can't resist any longer." He mumbled.

He raised his face and look into my face intently. My heart pounded. There's a tingling sensation in my stomach. The butterflies created riot inside me.

I looked at him, his eyes soft. I'm almost lost.

"Gale, can I kiss you?" he murmured. His eyes are training on my lips. His thumb is brushing my underlip.

I swallowed. Bago pa ako makasagot, he leaned down and captured my lips for a kiss. I closed my eyes to feel more what's his kiss feels like.

The kiss was chaste. It was a gentle brush of his lips to mine.

It was magical. It was my first kiss.

I opened my eyes, still in a daze, when he ended the kiss. He was smiling, kita sa mga mata n'ya ang sobrang saya.

I am also equally happy as he is. Gusto ko sanang mag-react about dun sa kiss namin na di ako sure kung anong klaseng reaction. I was about to open my mouth when he swooped down again for another brief kiss.

"Thanks," he said grinning after he ended the second kiss.

When I woke up from the daze, I rolled my eyes at him and shove his face away from me.

Nakaka-inis ang loko! Sobrang magpakilig!

"Di na ako papayag na magpalibre ulit sayo." I mumbled, nung maihatid niya ako pauwi sa bahay.

"Ha? Bakit naman?" naguguluhan nyang tanong as he deposited my stuff at the doorway.

"Ibang klase ang hinihingi mong kabayaran."

"Di ko naman pinabayaran sayo a!"

I glared at him. Mababatukan ko na ito! Nagsisimula na yata ako maging bayolente dahil sa kanya.

He chuckled as he held both my hands and pulled me towards him.

"Wag ka naman madamot, Gale." he said and kissed my knuckles.

"Eh nanghahalik ka--" My sentence was cut short when he kissed me! Again!

Nanghalik na naman ang loko. This time, smack lang yung kiss nya.

"Masanay ka na, Gale. Your kisses are addictive. I'm addicted."

A/N: Hello people. I'm sorry for the late UD. Got busy with work and got sick as well. So I made a dose of Simon to make me/you feel better.
