(A/n: I'm starting to regret the whole Roman numeral thing, but we'll roll with it.)

~~~~~~~Mattheo POV~~~~~~~
I let go of Y/n's mouth. I pointed at who I had seen seconds before. Just outside the window stood, lord Voldemort, or should I say... my father.
Tom and I are indeed the sons of Voldemort,or as other calls him 'he who must not be named.'
No one could know of course, I can't imagine what would happen if anyone found out. Best case scenario; they'd get rid of us. We'd be banned from Hogwarts, and all of our friends would never want to see us again. Worst case; we die.
Volde- father, began walking closer to the train. Y/n grabbed my shoulder and pulled me into a duck. We leant on the wall underneath the windowsill, so we weren't visible from the outside.
"Hey, Mattheo! Are you ok?" She asked quietly,
Snapping me back into reality. I realised I was probably staring at the window for a couple minutes.
"He almost saw us!" She said, breaking the silence. I looked at her hand, still placed on my shoulder. She followed my glare and realised she was still clinging on.
"Oh, sorry." She said unhanding me.
...
"Say something, you're creeping me out."
I didn't know if I could trust Y/n, we had only just met that day. What if she found out about Tom and I, and told everyone? I was debating on whether I should tell her or not, a blast of light flashed. I heard the window smash, shards of glass went flying in every direction, one sliced across my cheek leaving a small trail of blood on my face. I saw a hand reach in through what was no longer a window, but a hole in the wall. It violently wrapped around
Y/n's neck, she gasped as it's grip tightened, and carelessly lifted her up and dragged her through the hole. I reached for her hand but missed, and she was gone.
I took a second to catch my breath, my mind racing.
"Y/n!" I whispered to myself. I panicked. I slowly looked out the hole. I stared at Voldemort dangling Y/n up in the air by her neck, she was struggling against my father. Scratching at the hand wrapped around her throat, still gasping for breath. A crowd of my fathers puppets, who called themselves 'death eaters' gathered around, murmurs spreading amongst them. I froze, unsure what to do.
"Who would be stupid enough to spy on us?" He exclaimed, followed by a horrendous laugh. He threw Y/n to the floor and she landed hard on her back.
"Take care of her, this is not what we are here for." He said to the group of death eaters, watching the scene unfold. They began to close in on her. She whipped out her wand and pointed it around, making the group of them back off.
"Stay back!" She yelled, I could tell she was still a bit scared herself.
She got up onto her feet, regaining Voldemort's attention.
"A brave one I see. Must be a Griffindor." He said still smiling his cruel smile.
She pointed her wand directly at him, no one moved.
"It only takes two words." She said.
"You haven't got the nerve girl." He replied.
"Try me." Her face stone cold.
I hadn't known her for long, but it was still weird seeing her like this.
Voldemort's smile faded as he realised she was dead serious. He also whipped out his wand and pointed it at her. The two were now in some sort of stand off.
"STOP!" I yelled running and standing in between them.
"Mattheo what the hell are you doing!?" She hissed. Lowering her wand away from me.
"Mattheo, she is a friend of yours?" Father asked me.
"Yes." I said, but I refused to make eye contact with him.
Y/n's facial expression changed immediately, now she was just plain confused.
"Y/n let's go." I said, attempting to flee the scene. She looked past me, at my father who lowered his wand as well.
"You may leave." He told us, his wicked grin returning to his face.
I grabbed Y/n's shoulder and pulled her along. The crowd split into two, creating a path way for us to leave.
~~~~~~~~Y/n POV~~~~~~~
I couldn't believe what was happening. After the whole thing, they were willing to just let us go. All because of Mattheo. Something else was going on here, I could tell. Mattheo and I got back onto the train and neither of us said a word as we walked down the hallway.
...
"That was fun." I said, not really knowing what else to say. He looked at me confused.
"Great way to start the year." I added. He looked at the floor, maybe he was still in shock.
We reached our cabin, but instead of going in we stood outside for a second. This was so weird, I hated it. I stood still for a second, looking down at my feet before up at him. I noticed the blood spilling from a cut on his cheek, dripping down his neck. I put my hand under his chin and pulled his face up to get a better look.
"Come on." I said, walking to the back of the train. We got to a bathroom stall, it was tight but the two of us fit. I grabbed some toilet paper, ran it under cold water, seeing myself in the small mirror in front of me I notice the hand marks around my neck. Mattheo realised what I was looking at and asked;
"Does it hurt?" Sounding almost guilty.
"Only when I talk." I told him.
"But don't worry about that, let's clean you up."I brought the paper up to his cheek. He flinched as I cleared away the blood.
"Sorry." I said trying not to press to hard.
"Thank you." He said something for the first time in a while.
"Of course." I said politely, giving him a small smile. I got a little bit closer to look at his cut. All of a sudden the train flew into motion, throwing me off balance, I began to fall backwards, when I felt his arms wrap around my waist catching me. For a second we were looking at one another, our faces only inches apart... Until Pansy stormed in, interrupting us. We broke apart immediately, but she had still caught us.
"Am I interrupting something?" She said with a smirk.
"No." Mattheo and I answered at the same time.
"Right..." she said sounding not at all convinced.
"Anyway, we're almost there, let's get back to our cabin." She said, stepping out of the way of the door frame and gesturing us out. I let Mattheo out first, Pansy and I walked together, not too far behind him.
"What was that?" She asked.
"What?" I played dumb.
"Whatever was just going on in the bathroom."
"I don't know what your talking about."
She narrowed her eyes. I looked away, revealing the now bruising rings around my neck.
"Woah! What was that?!" She said pushing my hair out of the way to get a better look.
"I'll tell you later. But no more questions right now please." I said.
She nodded, and the three of us got back to the cabin. The rest of the trip was pretty average.
We acted like nothing happened. Though no matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop thinking about the events of that morning.

(A/n: I'm sorry if this didn't make any sense I had major writers block.)
