I looked behind my shoulder, to see a small, heart plushy. Ej gave that to me. I completely Forgot about it. I ran and grabbed on to it and held it to my heart. I heard a single chime on my phone. It was Ej. I looked at the single text with a little confusion. It was a link? I clicked on the link and it led me straight towards Lily's Instagram. That could never be good. I clicked on her latest post, and I could slightly see what it was. It was ME. It was me and Ej, when he was telling me that we weren't dating and that we are not friends anymore.

I completely Forgot about that! Yes, I know it happened just a week ago, but I was so caught up about how Ej said we weren't dating. And worse, that we weren't even friends anymore.

It had over 1,000 views already!

A single tear down my face went to many.

The next day at school I was a laughing stock. Everyone was calling me names like, cry baby, bossy girl, brat, and man snatcher! Since when was I the man snatcher?!

Now Is a good time I should mention Lily cut out the parts and moved them around so it made it seem like Ej was dating Lily in the first place, and that I was telling her to back off her own man. She made me seem like a crazy person.

As I was walking down the hall I saw Ej. He stopped me and put his hand on my shoulder. Butterflies were in my stomach and I was all flustered. But he didn't mean it in the way I wish he would have. He started apologizing about the video, which made me feel a tiny bit better.

"Gina, I never would have imagined this would have happened. I didn't even see Lily recording!" Ej started to say, "I'm so sorry that this happened to you.. Is there anything I can do for you. .?"

I was just furious at this point.

"Go tell your'girlfriend' she's a liar and a brat." I said frustrated. He tried to say he didn't know she was pretending to be his girlfriend but I cut him off.

"I have to go to class." I said as I rushed away, taking his hand off my shoulder.

I turned around but he was gone. I didn't even have to go to class at that time. And he knew that. I felt so bad..

When I got to theater, he seemed to be even more upset. I tried waving, but I don't think he noticed.

I texted Lily and told her to delete it. She must have been in class at that time, but it's not like I could know, she went to a different school than me.

A little later, she responded.

                                   Delete that video now Lily.

Why Should I?

                                It's hurting me AND Ej. But then again you don't care for either of us.

I do care for Ej, so that's why I will take it down. Don't think I'm doing it for you though,

I hate you.

I was surprised that she would take it down that easily. Maybe she did kinda like me. That, or she really just did it for Ej. Either way, I will never Forget this moment. A moment when the weight of the world isn' t on my shoulders.

The next morning I woke up, and texted Ej. I suddenly had a spring of happiness when he responded. It felt that everything was back to normal! It was excellent. I texted Nini to meet up because I wanted to ask her for advice with Ej. She said that she could meet up in an hour, and thank god it was a weekend because I really was not ready for school.

We met up at the park, my usual meet up spot, and we talked for a while.

"Hey Neen, Is there any advice you could give me about Ej?" I said with a beaming smiling on my face

"I really really like Ej and I just don't know how to tell him I want to date him." I said.

"I'm the first person you go to? I can't even manage to keep a boyfriend I have had for years. I'm single and not good at this advice stuff..." She said

I looked down a little upset.

"..But for you I can give you some advice. But don't blame me if it doesn't work out." She smiled

I smiled too.

We talked for hours and hours.

"It's simple! I wish you the best of luck and I'm sure you will do great." She finished saying

"Byeee!!" I said

"Good luck!" she said.

The next morning I would tell him. I had a plan. And it was smart. Or at least I thought it was, but I'm sure Nini and everyone else could tell me otherwise.

"Hey Ej! How have you been?" I said at Slices.

"Not bad, I'm just a little confused why you asked me to come here?" He said as I looked into his beautiful brown eyes.

"Well I wanted to ask you something. So here it goes. I like you a lot, and you know that. So I wanted to ask if you would maybe like to go on a date with me? It's totally chill, nothing fancy like a big restaurant or anything. Unless you want to go to a place like that because if so we can. Maybe I'm overthinking this. You know you probably don't even wanna go with me anymor-" I said fast as he cut me off.

"I would love to. Maybe... Slices tonight at 8:00? My treat." He said with a beaming smile

"Yes of course!!" I said, giving him an awkward hug.

He waved goodbye and walked away.

I dont know if it was the way the climate was today, or the fact that Ej just said YES to going on a date with me, or even the way the trees swayed, But I started sweating—In a good way. And for some reason, I don't think it was just because of Ej. I turned around to grab my purse on the bench behind me, and there stood, the thing that would change me forever. The thing that I thought was behind me and you could never guess who it was.

*AUTHORS NOTE* Sorry for such a long and mixed, emotional chapter. I have been feeling really inspired lately. I'm extra happy that this is the first chapter I have made with over 1,000 words! That may not seem like much, but most of my chapters are 300-400 words long, maybe a little more. Anyway, stay tuned to see what was behind Gina, or should I say who
