Chapter 10

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

There was a short break in between the events and then it was time. 

"Alright students, the next event is a cavalry battle! You'll be in teams of two to five people and be competing for the points you got! Each team has their horses then a rider. Rider wears the headbands anywhere above the neck and you run around trying to take points, at the end point totals will be added up. You cannot purposefully knock over anyones teams however you fall over by yourself you can pick yourself up. 42nd place has 5 points then each person gets an additional five moving p the ranks, except for first place who had ten million!" All eyes turned to Midoryia and I winced, Maybe its a good thing I didn't get first... "You have fifteen minutes to create your teams! Go ahead!" Denki grabbed my arm, 

"Come on (Y/n) let's find a team!" I nodded and looked at my headband, 185 points. We walked around for a minute until I found myself being grabbed by none other than Katsuki Bakugo. 

"Oi quirkless you're with me!" 

"Excuse me!?" 

"Just do it if you want to win!" I was dragged away from my friend and as I continued walking shouted back over to him. 

"I'l see you in the finals Pikachu!" 

"You too Eevee!" I walked with Bakugo and sighed, 

"You were calling me a quirkless bastard not even an hour ago. Whats with the change in heart?" 

"Your fast and agile. And I want to win." I came to his side and elbowed him in the arm, 

"Don't think this makes us friends jackass. I just want to win as well and you clearly have a strong team." I looked around at everyones headbands. With all of us together we had a total of 850 points. "If we can keep our headbands away from everyone else we should be able to get into second or third." I mentioned while Ashido, Kirishima, Sero, and I all helped Bakugo onto our shoulders. 

"Hell no, we're going for that ten million." 

"Would you get out of your ego!?" I snapped but before I could explain my plan the buzzer started. And everyone pretty much took off towards Midorya, making me stumble slightly but I just ran with them. I got everyone to stop as someone from 1-B used his quirk to soften the ground and we managed to stay out of range but all the "horses" in Midoryia's team had some sort of support gear on, letting them take off into the air. We pretty much played a game of cat and mouse until the 7 minute mark when whatever support gear they were using either broke or faltered, I couldn't tell, and Bakugo lunged off our shoulders for Midoryia, sending an explosion their way. Dark Shadow blocked it and I noticed the shadow like entity flinch but was quickly distracted by Sero reeling Bakugo in with his tape. And then I noticed one of the people from 1-B take the headbands. "Bakugo-" 

"Shut the hell up!" 

"Fine, just check around your neck!" He noticed and turned towards the other boy who also seemed to be blonde, but clearly much smugger if that was even possible. I wasnt quite paying attention as the other blonde haired boy, I think his name was Monama, taunted us and just looked around. 

Midoryia's team was still being chased around,

I couldn't spot Denki anywhere, 

And somehow there were only ten minutes left on the clock. 

I looked up and could feel the anger coming off my teammate. 

"Change of plans, before we go after Deku, we destroy this bastard." We started towards Monama's team but there was a sudden wave of ice as Todoroki attacked, heading for Midoryia's team. Ashido managed to get us out using her acid and after a brief scuffle we had most of the headbands. 

"We're in third, let's let the clock run out!"

"Who the hell made you in charge!?" I gritted my teeth, about to throw this cocky jerk off of my shoulders but I just went along with it and we managed to get all our headbands back plus the other from Monama's neck. Now in second and with ten seconds left on the clock Bakugo went for Todoroki's team who now had the ten million point headband but the timer ran out and he fell face first into the ground. 

"Thats it for the second round! Team Todoroki is in first, then team Bakugo, team Mona- no wait team Shinso managed to pull out from behind! and lastly we have team Midoryia!" I stretched, grinning and watching as my team captain screamed at the ground. I suddenly fell to the ground as I was tackled and flipped whoever was on my back over, pinning them to the ground. 

"Chill out its just me! Are you not used to that by now?" I flushed and let Denki up. 

"Sorry, I guess I'm still just on an adrenaline rush. How's your brain, it looks like your spacing out a bit." 

"Just need a recharge." I nodded and the both of us stood up. I wiped the dust off my uniform and sighed, but I was still grinning. 

"God, I never thought the day when I'd be in the finals of UA's sports festival." 

"Hey, what did I tell you about having more faith in yourself? Let's go get some lunch, we have an hour and then theres some sort of thing to do after lunch while they prepare." We walked into the building and I suddenly heard someone say my name. 

"(L/n) I would like to speak with you." I felt a pit of dread in my stomach ad I turned around, looked up, 

And stared into the cold blue eyes of the number two hero.
