    The room was deathly quiet, too quiet. A pool of blood lay around the young woman, a halo of crimson, seeping into the patterned carpet of the Blood Room. This certain girl had faced a gruesome end; the right side of her neck gouged out, her golden hair stained red, her dress torn, a silent scream on her pale lifeless lips. Her blue eyes that had once held an ocean were now pale and frozen. He had always fancied girls with blue eyes, no one knows why. They were always the ones that he would choose, though, this one had not given as much of a fight as he would have liked.  

     He is done and full. Picking up his coat, he steps over his victim's body and makes his way to the door. He leaves, never giving the corps a second look.

     Soon after, the clean up crew file into the Blood Room, not even blinking at the grisly sight in front of them. They pick up the body of the girl, who's name was Sophie Hedge, placed it in a body bag and carried on cleaning her life's blood off of the carpet.  

    In the hallway, many Bloodlings gather, morning their sister's death. Knowing that the next year, the same malevolent man will return and another blue-eyed girl will fall.
