Birds passes by Aldid as he silently flies just above the trees in the forest. He didn't seem to notice their presence as he continued to head east towards where the population of trees is lower.

On his journey, he couldn't help but to think of the woman's behavior from minutes ago with a frown on his face.

With a sigh in the soft winds, he finally spoke.

"What's has gotten into that woman? First she was inimical, the next she is nice. Then she becomes cold and rude in a blink of an eye!" He exclaimed as his eyes shoot daggers on the trees below him.

"Why did she even become like that all of a sudden? She is so hard to understand! Did I do something to offend her? What did I even do to her? Wait... Did she think of me as an inconvenience all along?! Uh... I hope not."

His continuous ramble suddenly came to a stop as he notice the surrounding that is very familiar to him. He looked back at the path he had flown in and released a deep sigh before lowering himself close to the ground.

He continued to hover on the forest until he came near a cave hundreds of meters away from the village. He glances on its entrance for a long moment before hovering away. Neighboring to the cave was his parents house.

As he come in front of their doorway, he landed on his feet while his wings disappear in the air.

"Mom, I am sorry I wasn't able to come ho-" Upon entering he walked straight to the kitchen and in there, he was greeted by a tight squeeze from his mother.

"You had me extremely worried, young man!" The woman exclaimed as she leans her head on Aldid's chest with her ears just above his heart. Seeing his concerned mother, he can't help but to smile and hug her back.

She might be laidback and teasing at times, however she still deeply cares about him and his well-being despite all this years. And during times like this, it never fails to show up.

"Sorry, Mom. I got lost on the inner part of the forest." Hearing his words, his mother broke their hug and looks up to him with a squinted eyes and folded arms.

"You should be! How did you even get there?" His mother said with a concerned tone.

"A little deer fella decided to play chase with me. I was busy following her and when I realized, I was already in an unfamiliar place." He explained to his mother while scratching the back of his head.

"It was raining badly last night and I haven't heard from you since last morning. For Goddess' sake, you have no idea how worried I was!" She exclaimed thinking of the thoughts she had on the previous night.

"Mom, it's okay now." He reassures her. "Plus, I... was able to find some shelter." He said looking away from his mother. Looking at her son's expression, she couldn't help but to eye him suspiciously.

"Did you?" She asked suspecting his words. Knowing his mother, he looked at him and smiled.

"Yes, Mom."

"Good." She sighed, finally accepting her son's words. She walks back to the table and sits on a chair with cottons and carders in front of it. Beside her was a brown bear, that is just a few inches bigger than her, sitting on the floor.

"Hey there, Maya." Aldid greets the bear but it only turned its gaze away from him. His mother saw this and smiled proudly at Maya.

"She is mad at you for worrying her last night, you know?" She said knowing exactly what Maya feels.

"You sure are like your Pamiliare, huh? I'm sorry, Maya." Finally, the bear acknowledges him and nods at his direction.

"You should go to Head of Scout's office and report. Janan came here at dusk yesterday looking for you because Sir Rakiv noticed that you didn't show up in his office at the end of your turn and told her." His mother said while carding the cotton.

"Ah- Yes, I will." He was reminded by his mother about something he completely forgot.

"You forgot it, didn't you?" She looks up to him with a smirk after hearing her son's reaction.

"Yeah, yeah." He said monotonously making his mother grin. Seeing her reaction, he smiled as well.

"Go now. Here, I packed your food supply." His mother stood up and grabbed the sack that is sitting in front of the kitchen counter behind her. She then walked to him to give it.

"Thanks, Mom." He said getting the sack from her. "I'll be going now then."

"Ah, before you go, take this with you. Ask some from Ma'am Airme. We are nearly low on supply." She said taking a piece of paper from her pocket and handing it to him. He scan the paper and see a list familiar herbal plants and medicine.

"I will bring it before the night falls." He looks up to his mother and gave her a weak smile.

"Thank you, son." She replied to him with the same smile.

"I'll be going now. Bye, Mom. Bye, Maya." He waves at the two before exiting the kitchen to the living room. He walked to the door and held it's handle however, before turning it, he looked to his right and see a wooden door. He stared at it for a moment before finally leaving the house.

A sound of a bell rings inside the office as Aldid opened the door to the building. Despite this, the old man writing on the desk didn't look up and continued on working.

"Sir." Aldid said gaining the old man's attention from his paperwork.

"Aldid." He replied recognizing the man before him. "I haven't heard from you yesterday." He said with a small frown forming on his forehead.

"I'm sorry, Sir. I got lost yesterday while following a deer." His works seemed to have caught the old man's attention as his frown became deeper.

"Lost?" He said repeating Aldid's words.

"Yes, Sir. I was trying to get it near the village but it ran so I chased it and found myself lost inside the forest." Aldid said explaining the scenario.

"Hmm... I see. Submit your report by tomorrow." The old man said after a small nod. "You can go now."

"Thank you, Sir Rakiv." Aldid bowed to him then smiled brightly. The old man only responded to him with a nod. Aldid then headed towards the door and turned its handle when the man spoke again.

"Oh, and also, be careful next time, lad." Aldid turned to him only to see him writing on his desk.

"Yes, Sir." He replied with a smile before leaving.

"Now, I have to go to Ma'am Airme's garden." He mumbles to himself before flying to his next destination.

Noon have already past when he came back to the village after delivering the herbal plants and medicine to his mother. He hovers above the road that is from a distance of the village's center.

He came to stop in front of one of the buildings there. It was a small two-story house made of wooden materials. He inserted a wooden key in it's door knob, unlocking the house.

"I'm home!" He shouted after he walks inside. His yell was responded by a meow from the kitchen.

"Leofwina! Why do you greet me so coldly?" He said with a pout as he walks to his kitchen. There he saw an above average-sized cat with a golden fur sitting on the table facing his direction.

"Hey there, buddy!" The cat only rolled it eyes and meow at him making him chuckle.

"Sorry, okay?" He said to it with a apologizing look making the cat jump down and approach him.

He squats down to pet its head making it purr.

"At least, I am home now." He said while Leofwina meowed to his words.
