Chapter 29 (Meeting Keon Drake)

Image above is Keon Drake, some people refer to him as KD, he looks a badass, can be a bit of a badass too, but deep down he's a softie, but you do anything to hurt him or his family, you get hurt. He's a good lad though, he's honest, and will just be straightforward, he's good looking, dresses up smart. He's a charmer, treats women right, and with respect. He's 16 years old, same age as Lucie.

"Ugh, your still here, there was me hoping we had scared you off" Hayden said smugly as he pushes Lucie to the ground, Becky beside him laughing, as Luciana goes to get back up Hayden gets on top of her and goes to punch her in the face like before, but suddenly he feels himself being pulled back, then he goes head first into the lockers "ouch". He looks up and sees an african american lad looking at him with anger in his eyes.

"Who the hell are you?" Hayden asks, the lad then answers "your worst enemy if you don't leave this girl alone, and believe me, you don't want that", Hayden goes to punch him but the other lad grabs his fist and squeezes it hard and then twists it slightly, making Haydens arm feel like it's about to break "ooouuu, OK, OK, she's all yours dude, chill". The lad let's go and smiles, he then turns to Lucie and asks "are you okay?".

Luciana looks back at him and smiles "yes, yes I am, thanks to you", the lad smiles back showing off his lovely white teeth "my pleasure Lucie, the names Keon" he holds out his hand for her to shake so she does just that and questions in confusion "wait, how did you know my name?". Keon looks at her and replies back "simple, I never forget a pretty face, we have the same class, well classes to be exact".

Lucie looks at him and smiles but blushes slightly "that's sweet of you to say", Keon then replies back being the cool cucumber and all "not meant to be sweet, I'm just stating facts, I don't lie", Lucie blushes even more. Keon then smiles at her and asks "well, Lucie, do you fancy coming out with me after school, go and get a bite to eat maybe". The girl smiles back and answers "I'd love too but I have to do an application form", Keon then asks "ooh, for what?".

Luciana smiles at him "I am going to apply for the fire cadet course thing, basically I want to be a firefighter, I want to joint house 51", Keon looks at her in shock and replies "no way?", Lucie then replies back with no confidence "yea, I know, its stupid right?". Then Keon does something unexpected, he shakes his head and answers "no, not stupid at all, it's just, well, I did my application a few days ago actually".

Lucie looks back at him shocked and chuckles "wait, you a firefighter, I never would have got that vibe from you", Keon laughs and then asks "yea, I get ya, anyway, why 51? I mean there are loads of firehouse's". Lucie smiles and answers "yea, well you see, I was adopted when I was young by the best woman ever, she's like an amazing mom, literally, anyway, she works in the intelligence unit back at 21st, and so I've been brought up around 21st and 51 quite a bit, basically 51 is like a second family, they are my Aunts and Uncles ".

Keon looks at her and smiles widely "wow, big family then, that's pretty cool though, and it's nice that you think of your adopted mom like that", Lucie smiles back at him "she may not biologically be my mom but, she is my mom and I wouldn't look at her any differently, she's been there for me, she's loved me, so yes, she is my blood, and I'm so lucky to have found her and been given the opportunity to be her daughter". Keon smiles back "wow, she seems like she is really cool, I'd love to meet her someday".

The next day

LUCIANA - "Hey, so I did the application, just gotta wait now, can't wait until I can start learning everything"

KEON DRAKE - "Yesss, go girl, proud of you, it be cool to train together, and be even cooler if we both got in, we could end up being work partners, fire buddies 🔥👩‍🚒👨‍🚒"

LUCIANA - "Yes, omg, definitely, and fire buddies, that has a nice ring to it ya know 😂lol"

KEON DRAKE - "That can be our little thing now, anyways I gotta go, I'll see you in a while fire buddy 🔥👩‍🚒"

LUCIANA - "OK fire buddy 🔥👨‍🚒"

As Lucie turns her phone screen off she giggles a little but it gets the attention of Gabby who had done the application with her last night and the two had a girly night to go with it. "Who was that? A boy?" Gabby asks as she raises an eyebrow, Lucie giggles a little and tries to lie but ends up blushing "no", Gabby laughs and jokes "at least try and act like your being honest, seriously girl, you are a terrible liar, go on what's his name?" Lucie smiles back at her and blushes as she says his name "Keon, Keon Drake"
