It has been 3 months since Licorice and Vampire met, and they are the closest of friends. But, Vampire feels a different way about his dear friend.

"GWAHAHAH! WE'LL TAKE OVER THE KINGDOM TOGETHER VAMPIE! WE'RE TOO POWERFUL FOR THE OTHERS!" Licorice says, plotting to take over the kingdom again. Vampire laughs, "Cmon man, I'm too tired to do any of that 'taking over the kingdom' stuff. Sorry." Licorice pokes Vampire's shoulder playfully, snickering. "Vampire! You're always tired and hung over, can't you sober up one day for me?" Licorice says, grinning. Vampire blushes lightly, really thinking about it. If sobering up would make Licorice happy, maybe I should.. "Alright, maybe. Only because I don't want ya constantly nagging me Licci." Vampire says, shrugging. Licorice smiles in victory, and hands Vampire a piece of paper. "For your last day before you go sober, meet me here. We can chill!" Licorice says, running down the stairs of the tower eagerly. Vampire chuckles, and looks at the paper. It's a poorly drawn map to Sparkling's tavern. Vampire smiles, although it's a silly map it means so much to him. He's recently been thinking about Licorice more than usual. Every thought is Licorice (or grape juice, but mostly Licorice). Vampire has been thinking.. is it love he's feeling? But he pushes away the thought (even though he gets butterflies everytime he talks to that idiot)

Vampire walks into the tavern and looks around for Licorice. But instead, he sees Sparkling come up to him. "Hey Vampire! follow me, Licorice has a surprise for you." Sparkling drags Vampire to a back room, and Vampire looks over. Licorice is sitting at a fancy looking table, and he's dressed in a dark indigo tux. Vampire blushes a bright red as he's pushed to sit down, feeling under dressed. "H-hey man! What's with the fancy get up?" Vampire says, trying not to make eye contact with Licorice or else he'd see how red he was. "Well, I kinda thought we deserve something fancy! Today is a day where we leave behind the past and move forward with the rest of our lives!" Licorice says. Vampire looks down at his hands. Man.. why does he have to be so poetic.. it's making my heart go a million miles..
They talk and drink, but then Vampire does something bold. "Hey Licci~ D-*hic* do you love mee~?" Licorice looks at Vampire for a moment, and hugs him. "I thought I was the ooonly one who was feeing it Vampie!" The small radio in the room, that was playing some classical music, changes to "Me and my Husband". Vampire and Licorice dance and waltz as if they were in a disney movie. All they needed was each other in that moment. They dance and sing, and at the end of the song Vampire dips Licorice. They stare into each others eyes for a moment, feeing the connection. It's as if that night was as Licorice said, "a day where they leave behind the past and move forward with the rest of their lives". Vampire leans in and kisses Licorice. Licorice kisses back. The whole world melts away around them, they're all they need anymore.

Vampire wakes up. Last night was a blur, but he does remember the kiss. He looks at himself in the mirror and sees hickeys on his neck. He also sees Licorice sleeping in his bed. "Hey.. Licci? Do you remember what happened last night?" Vampire says in a hushed voice. Licorice gets up quick, but regrets it. "SHIT! MY ASS HURTS!" Vampire holds in a laugh, looking at the adorable man in his bed. "Seems like we must've had alot of fun last night." Vampire says. Licorice looks at Vampire and sees all the hickeys around his neck and chest, and flops his head into the blanket, groaning from the pain but also embarrassed from seeing Vampire like that. "I'm too tired to do any plotting today Vampie.." Licorice says sadly. "Awh, my poor little evil overlord is tired. Time to attack!" Vampire says, tackle-hugging Licorice. The couple giggles and smile happily. "So, I guess we are a double act now?" Vampire says. Licorice nods and kisses Vampire happily.
