Yet another lonesome day.
Hoseok thought to himself. Nothing out of the usual. It couldn't just be a him thing, right? Watching his College peers pair up with their friends, while he stood there with a nonchalant expression on display while an awkward feeling was carving him inside out. The crowded café, but his table that remained empty. Don't get him wrong, company wasn't his greatest worry, he was much more focused on his grades. Afterall, med-school awaited him, and he wanted to get into the best of best. Nevertheless, that didn't help reduce his stress by a smidge, nope. Again, don't get him wrong, despite being under lots of pressure, he wasn't going the kind to dwell, he was a happy soul, as one would say, unlike today that is. But thay's okay, every one has their low days.. right?
His head hung slightly low, the usual admiration for the autumn leaves lost somewhere within his hung expression. He fumbled with his fingers inside the pocket of his yellow sweatshirt, a color that truly reflected his personality, or well, used to as he thought in the moment.
Luckily, the lad lifted his head up in time and ceased his footsteps, as a car whooshed past him. Letting out a sigh of relief, his eyes spotted something on the street to his right. As winter was approachng, it was quite dark already, at 6 PM. The end of the street had a worn out 'dead end' sign, further sparking Hoseok's curioisity as proceeded his way towards it. It was a statue- no, a puppet? A life-sized puppet of some sort, very clearly a man around his own age, dressed in a shabby red coat, a pirate. An eyepatch on his left eye. And to Hoseok's surprise, the puppet had all his four limbs.
"Ahh- I guess that's more a stereotype, huh? Pirate hooks~", he spoke to himself, snickering lightly, only for his eyes to widen as he realized he was smiling, prolonging his laughter. That let to him noticing a wooden bench next to the puppet, deciding to take a seat upon it. Further burying his hands into his pockets, he shivered slightly, outstretching his legs and tapping his feet on the ground, before intaking a shaky breath.
"You know.. ", he paused, his voice shaking as he struggled to hold back his emotions, sniffling. The silence in contrast to his voice, was somehow louder. "I don't know why I try.. I mean, every day, I go there as if it'll be a new day but... am I not just stuck in a loop? Hah- imagine being stuck in place, unable to enjoy what's right before you. Would that make me ungrateful? Ahh~ Does that sound too sad? What am I even saying anymore?" He shrugged, smiling forcibly as he wrapped his thick scarf back around his neck before proceeding back into his feet. "See you now", he mumbled, waving at the lonesome puppet as he began walking away, only to pause within his tracks. "You may just be a puppet but..", he paused, deciding for his actions to finish his sentence. Unwrapping the scarf from around his own neck, he reached up, flinging it around the puppet's neck, tying a loose knot so that it doesn't fly away. What can he say, he felt remorse for a lifeless being. That was Hoseok. A kindhearted soul. After all, helping others is something that remains as a constant in his life, thus why he believes being a doctor is the best profession for him. Stepping back, he smiled to himself as he watched the scarf swaying in the breeze along with the puppet's slick black hair, which somehow managed to retain it's hairstyle. Upon firther inspection, Hoseok realized his thoughts blended into admiral for the puppet, leading his cheeks to pick up a tint of pink. There was just something so entrancing about it. Satisfied, he turned upon his heels, pulling his hood up and continued his way back home, yet another lonely place. However, for some reason, his heart didn't feel as hollow all of a sudden. He simply brushed it off as a product of his optimism and went on with the rest of his night.

Finally back at home, Hoseok began preparing himself for bed. A plate of eggs and all colors of peppers to exist, a simple skincare routine, followed by prepration for tomorrow's outfit. For some reason he has had red on mind, thus why he decided on a red hip-length red coat, a black T-shirt and black skinny jeans. Along with a white belt for a finishing touch.
"Hopefully tonight my dreams treat me well~", he mumbled, scratching his head as fell right into his comfy haven, drifting right to sleep.
