"WHERE'S THE END THIS STUPID DESERT!"
Screamed Chrome as he limped the thick sand of the never-ending desert which stretched out for miles and miles. Chrome had been in the desert for 13 days and running out of food and water.

How he ended up in the desert is even a mystery to him as well. All he remembers is that he woke up in an desert with no memory of who his parents were, where he came from, or who he is.

Chrome looked into the sky and saw that the sun was setting and this told him that he needed to make shelter right away. He then put his bag on the silky sand sand and then proceeded to take out his gear.

"Well, looks like I finished the tent and just in time too!" Chrome said as he climbed inside of tent. He soon took out his blanket and covered himself with the blanket.

Chrome sighed to himself, "I wish I knew who my parents were, where I was born, my real name or how I ended up in this desert..." And then he drifted off to sleep.

Chrome soon awoken to the sounds of footsteps which could be heard outside the tent. Chrome poked his head out of his to see what it was and he was shocked. It was a Shadow Beast. Shadow Beasts are one of the native creatures of this area and although it is native, it is inhuman. These creatures are born from and return to darkness.

What Chrome also noticed was that there was 15 of them. Chrome knew this was definitely one he could not win. He then grabbed his torch and sword and immediately left. The herds of Shadow Beast saw a figure running off in the distance due to their night vision, keen senses, and the torchlight.

"Crap! They found me!" Chrome yelled as he kept running from the red-eyed persecutors. Unfortunately for Chrome, Shadow Beasts are faster than most creatures so they were able to easily catch up to Chrome but that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was that he ran right into more Shadow Beasts.

Chrome soon stopped running, he took out his sword, held his torch with a tight grip and got into a battle stance.

He then looked at his odds, 1 against 40. "Well, I guess it's do or die for me then, huh?" Chrome said while trying not to lose his ground. "If I die not knowing my origin, at least I died going down with a fight!" He screamed at all the hungry Shadow Beasts.

A Shadow Beast lunged towards him but Chrome swung his sword, lobbing its head off. The other 39 Shadow Beast looked at their fallen comrade's corpse which was spilling blood along the ground. One of the Shadow Beast walked up to its comrade's head and nudge it but nothing happened. The creature soon let a few tears fall from its eyes before closing them shut.

Chrome was soon shocked to see the creatures actions before it made a powerful roar. Thus, all the Shadow Beast charged at Chrome, who was surprised at this rash action to send them all to attack at once.

Chrome threw his torch onto the ground which caused a lot of them back off while some got burned.

The same Shadow Beast who commanded all of them to attack walked up to the flames and consumed the whole. This caused the beast to change drastically. It stood on it hind legs, its height increased, its skin became black and red, it's eyes became yellow instead of red and lava and smoke was leaking out of its mouth.

It then pointed at Chrome, which told the other beast to attack him. Chrome was about to swing his sword again but a Shadow Beast pinned him down and knocked away his sword.

"Well, looks like it's the end." Chrome as he closed his eyes as the beast was about to bite him in the neck until the creature stopped what it was doing.

All of the beast looked into the horizon and noticed a gray Lion watching them.
The Lion's eyes started to glow and 10 of the Shadow Beast (including the one on Chrome) were levitated into the air and within an instant, they all simultaneously exploded.

"Leave alone the boy and return back to the wretched abyss from whence you came!" The Lion roared at the foul demons who scurried off into the dark horizon.

The Lion teleported to Chrome and levitated him onto his back.

"Who are you and where are you taking me?" Questioned the confused Chrome.

"My name is Hexis, and I'm taking you to the Temple of Aries."
