Now You've Messed Up

We'd been at the farm for a while now. Carl was up and walking again like his normal self. There was something strange about mom, she wasn't acting like her normal self. When Glenn and Maggie went to do a run she gave him a smaller piece of paper. He came back and gave mom a small bag. I could only assume what it was.

Later that night I followed mom out to the field, when she squatted down, I knew I was right. I walked over and looked at the results. "you're pregnant?"

"You can't tell your dad. I know you know about Shane and I. I see it every single time you look at us or just one of us. I don't think it's your dad's, it's Shane's. Please promise me you won't tell anyone?" She begged.

"Fine, I promise," I sighed and walked back to Lisa and I's tent.

                          *THE NEXT DAY*

I didn't like keeping things from my dad, he doesn't know about mom and Shane. I saw Glenn walking and I grabbed a hold of him, "why did you get that for her? Now I know she's having a baby and I can't even tell my dad because it's not his. She's going to have a hell of a time trying to hide that!" I said catching Shane in the corner of my eye walking towards us.

I timed it just right and crashed my lips against Glenn's, "everything- oh, does your dad know?" Shane asked.

"Nope, it was just a one time thing. It didn't mean anything," I said and then Shane walked away.

"Did you just kiss me? I thought you and Daryl had a thing going on, I'm so confused."

"Who told you that?" I asked.

"It's noticeable. Your tents are right next to each other, when Carol asked Daryl about it he freaked saying 'why the hell do you care? I can be with whoever I want whenever' your dad's said it a few times too."

"I've got to go," I smiled.

                   "Okay," Glenn smirked.

"Oh Glenn, sorry I kissed you. I just didn't want Shane to know what we were talking about."

"It's okay. Sorry I kissed back, heat of the moment I guess," he said through a red face while he rubbed the back of his neck.

I laughed, "let's not talk about it anymore."

Dad and Daryl were talking, I didn't bother to see about what. When I was about to Lisa and I's tent dad yelled, "Jamie,  I need you to go with Daryl and look for Sophia!"

"Okay, let me grab my gun!" I yelled back. I ran over to Dale's R.V. where the guns were and grabbed my 9 mm and the holster. I was headed to dad and Daryl when Carol grabbed a hold of me and pulled me aside and stuck something in my pocket. I ignored it and finished walking towards them, then we left.

We walked for a while when we stopped. Daryl looked at me and said, "I have to talk to you 'bout somethin'?"

                       "Shoot," I smiled.

"I got the okay from Rick, not that I really needed it since you're of age and all of that, but I was wonderin'-" he didn't get to finish before I walked over and crashed my lips on top of his, "guess that answers my question," he smiled.
