Ten years later; Lena was now soon to be a very adventurous, beautiful junior in Middlefield High. She was beyond excited for this new chapter she would have been beginning as a junior the very next day.
She gleefully jumped around as she sorted out her bag for the next day. "Mom...MOM!", Lena screeched. "Huh wassup?", her mom replied. Lena and her mom had always been besties, anytime the older Luthor needed help (mostly technical), she would always ask Lena. Lena had always gone to her mom if she needed to let out her feelings (maybe gossip if urgent). "Uh...I was wondering where my physics and science book was", the younger Luthor mumbled. "Check the downstairs bookshelf", Lillian chuckled silently predicting what the youngster might've said. As she was always forgetting where her books were.
Lena woke up the next day with a dangerously big smile playing on her lips. Not only did she have three hours before the new term, but she was sixteen today! 'I'm sixteen!', Lena thought. She slowly got up and went to go do her daily routine. As she slowly walked up to the bathroom she felt like a new person, everything had changed, she was now a junior and a sixteen year old! As she got out of the hot steamy shower, Lillian knocked on her door. "Come in!" Lena chorused. She knew this couldn't be anyone else because Lena and Lillian lived alone in their penthouse.
You see Lena's father, Lionel Luthor had supposedly left them when Lena was 11 months old; that's what Lena was told atleast. Apparently he sent a fat load of money every year because he was born into a rich family; was a businessman and a former doctor. Lena could've contacted him in many ways if what was uttered to her was true, but she decided 'If he didn't want to be there when I was born, why would he want to even think about seeing me now?'. She left that thought alone since she was twelve and it was left to perish since then.

"Happy Birthday baby girl!" Lillian happily cheered as she came in with a plate of eggs, bacon and two slices of toast on a tray, as well as apple juice and iced water. "Oh wow..", Lena whispered. She was left speechless for a good second in her life. This gesture meant so much to her and she was genuinely happy about it. "It's okay, you don't need to say a word...I mean, I know you love it 'cause it took a hell load of work to make!", Lillian complained." No thank you it looks amazing!", Lena gushed. "Thank you mom", Lena giggled. "No prob hun, I'm going to take this down so you can get ready ok?", Lillian suggested. "Sure, why not.. and again, thank you..", Lena said as she held eye contact with Lillian.
Lillian smiled softly as she departed the room. Lena gently skipped over to her walk-in closet and grabbed a plain white cropped tank top, baggy black high waisted ripped jeans, a long sleeve plaid black flannel top and a pair of grey high-top converses. She tied that all together with her favourite silver padlock chain necklace, plain gold chain bracelet that had her initials on and clear gummy bear earrings that she had from her sixth birthday. Lena had Irish heritage so her hair was always in natural stringy curls, to go with her attire, she straightened it out and tied her long dark hair into a low pony leaving two strands out. Lena had then decided to put on light foundation, mascara, cat eye eyeliner and clear shimmer lip gloss.
This most definitely wasn't Lena's everyday outfit, but she decided that a new age, new term, then a new look. She looked at herself one last time in the mirror as she grabbed her bag and made her way downstairs.

"How's my new sixteen year old?", Lillian chuckled. "Good", Lena giggled. Silently they ate their first meal of the day. "Hey mom, I'm going to go now or I'll be late", Lena said as she put her dishes in the sink. "Yeah sure, don't want you to have a detention on the first day do we?", Lillian smirked. "No!, definitely not!", Lena cried. "Bye!", Lena laughed. "Bye, have a good day honey!" Lillian said. "You too!, I will!", Lena smirked as she closed the front door.
Lena walked on the pavement and she felt butterflies rising in her stomach. 'Oh God, I'm a junior ', Lena thought. She pushed that thought away reluctantly as cons started to make their way into her head. She looked ahead her cause she heard someone; she caught the sight of what she presumed to be a girl. She looked down and slowly looked up again, just to check, to ease her senses.

She was right! There had been a girl in front of her and Lena 'curious' Luthor wanted to know more about her. This mysterious girl had gorgeous dirty blonde hair from what Lena could see. Lena swiftly sped up and walked past the blonde. She looked behind carefully, the girl was reading a book (how cute!). As soon as Lena was where she needed to be to see the female she studied her face. Her pretty long blonde hair hung loosely on her shoulder in perfect curls. She had enchanting sapphire eyes, a cute little nose and lovely rosy plump lips. She looked like she was just about Lena's age. Her tan skin was almost impossible to recreate on Lena's pale one. Her small black outlined glasses seemed to be falling off as she pushed them up gently. Before Lena could observe anymore, the girl looked up. They looked in each other's eyes and time stopped, they tried to look away but it felt next to impossible. It felt likes hours had passed but it had only been a few seconds. Soon enough Lena sneezed and had to turn away. She looked ahead and realized she was at school.
