The Meeting

I'm Cerise and today starts another year of hiding who am and being a shut in. Fortunately, we didn't switch dorms, so I still have Cedar with me. Something that's changed is Raven and Dexter are now a couple and Daring and Apple split over break. That means Daring is single and so girls are constantly trying to catch his eye. I honestly don't see the appeal.

"Hey Cerise" Cedar said as she grabbed my shoulders from behind.

"What's up, Cedar" I said in my usual tone.

"Oh, nothing much, just I got a date with Darling soon and I lost my key, so~..."

"Fine, I'll let in, but you better find your key" I said getting annoyed.

I fumbled through my pocket trying to get my key and wasn't looking where I was going, I grabbed the key and was to pull it out when, I knocked to a wall, I think.

"Oh, I'm sorry are you okay, here let me help you up" I heard voice say, nope that wasn't a wall.

Before I could respond the body that voice came from lifted me up and pulled to their chest, I instinctively placed my on their chest, just steady myself, and looked up. As my head tilted upward, my eyes opening. I froze, I could feel my cheek begin to burn as pushed off his chest into Cedar, stumbling, I grabbed the key, unlocked the door and went inside.

"What was that about" I heard him say from the hallway.

"I don't know maybe he likes you" Cedar said as she walked the dorm, the way she said it made my cheeks burn more and buried my face in my hands.

"So~... what did think of Daring, hot right, I mean why else would blush that much"

"Shut up and get ready" I said ignoring her question.

I don't know what to say, I don't know why I blushed so hard, especially for Daring. Of all the people who I'd find attractive surely Daring would be the last, after all he is a prince, I'm just a she-wolf that no one knows about.

Daring pov

I walk away wondering why she had such a burning look in her eye, was she afraid of me, no she couldn't be, right? Maybe I scared her when I grabbed the small of her back to raise her up, could she have thought it was sexual, I shrugged it off, or at least tried to.

I made it back to my dorm where Hunter was laying on his bed, flirting with his girlfriend through text. I sat down on my bed and laid back, running my finger through my golden hair. I wish Cerise would run her fingers through my hair. Wait, what, what is wrong me, why would I think about that.

I grabbed my phone and start scrolling through Instagram and stumbled upon a picture of Cedar taking a selfie with Cerise as the main focus, she was pulling her hood down over her face and trying to hide. Adorable, I thought to myself as instinctively double tapped to like the picture. What, why did I think about that, wait, oh no, I liked it, shit.

"Dude, what's your damage" Hunter said noticing my groan.

"Nothing, just thinking" I lied, I didn't want him to know I'm thinking about Cerise.
