Black Canary flung her head back and bent her body back with it, falling back into a backward bridge as the disc soared harmlessly over her where her head had just been. Another lower flying disc followed shortly behind, so Dinah continued backwards into a handstand before performing a handspring into the air over the disc. The final disc neared her before the leather clad vigilante delivered a spinning kick to the projectile, deflecting it away into the corner.
"Wow," mused Flash.
"That's what I'm talking about, babe!" cheered Green Arrow.
"Most impressive," nodded Wonder Woman.
Black Canary proudly looked over her shoulder at the three observers. They were in the training room of the Watchtower, where Black Canary had just completed the advanced training regiment. Despite the regiment being among the hardest designed by Batman himself, she had perfectly dodged every attack and struck every target.
"Thank you," smiled Black Canary, returning to the group.
"Of course," added Wonder Woman with a grin, "I could do better."
"Well of course you could," said Black Canary, rolling her eyes, "You're an Amazon."
"Exactly," said Wonder Woman, "and of course you're not."
"What's that supposed to mean?" scoffed Black Canary.
"It means you can't give an Amazonian arm burn."
"A what now-? Hey!"
Wonder Woman grabbed Black Canary by her left shoulder and wrist, extending out her arm before rolling up the sleeve of the leather jacket to expose the bare skin. Both Flash and Green Arrow winced as Wonder Woman gripped the skin and twisted in either direction. Black Canary clenched her teeth and teared up as the technique stretched her mortal skin to it's limit before Wonder Woman let go. Black Canary sucked on her teeth in pain as she looked at her reddened arm, two clear hand prints visible across it.
"Of course that's got nothing on an Amazonian noogie."
"No, wait!"
Wonder Woman threw Black Canary into a headlock and pressed her chiseled knuckles down into the scalp beneath Black Canary's finely styled blonde hair and began to rub it intensely back and forth, sending several individual strands of blonde hair flying as she dug into Black Canary's skull.
"Come on!" pleaded Black Canary, "My hair is part of my whole look you know!"
"That's enough of that," said Superman sternly, descending into the room.
The others all looked up at their de facto leader. The Kryptonian, clad in his iconic red and blue costume, had apparently entered from the second level of the enormous training room and had come down to speak to them. Wonder Woman released her grip on Black Canary as the vigilante massaged her sore scalp.
"Wonder Woman, that was extremely unprofessional."
"Ease up, boy scout," interjected Black Canary, "I can take care of myself."
"Be that as it may," said Superman, "We need to be more conscious of how we conduct ourselves."
"...any particular reason for that?" asked Green Arrow.
"Weren't you paying attention at the all-hands yesterday?" said Flash.
"Guess not," shrugged Green Arrow.
"We have our new recruits coming today," explained Superman.
"You're kidding," realized Green Arrow, eyes widening, "Who?"
