Stu, Billy, and you were holed up in your apartment, where you had your popcorn stash and your mom's wine cooler stash. The two boys didn't care if the drinks tasted like strawberries as long as they got a buzz off them. They loved coming over to your house for the drinks and the array of popcorn flavoring you had. Also, the time they spent with you was another thing they loved about it. They felt so bad having to do all of this to you, but they had a goal to reach, and you were getting in the way. The two of them were still deciding what to do with you when they fulfilled their plan. All three of you were best friends, even if you had initially strayed from them after seeing Casey. Your other friends could chalk it up to you being distant from the trauma and not Billy and Stu being involved. Even with Billy seemingly cleared, you still wonder what they were up to at Casey's house that night. Why did they have the mask? Did they just so happen to find it or something? And why were they even there? You try not to think about it too much when sandwiched between the two in question.

Stu takes a large gulp of the strawberry alcohol, letting out a catastrophic burp while the three of you are seated on the couch watching Halloween.

Rolling your eyes, you take a handful of popcorn from his bowl, trying not to laugh at Billy's stoic expression next to you. He was used to Stu being gross, having been friends with him a little longer than you. You found the burp somewhat endearing, especially because he was comfortable enough to do gross stuff in front of you. Or maybe it's because you had a weird crush on Stu that you'd never admit, not even to yourself.

"Is that a challenge?" you question, picking up your own drink and chugging it, letting out a burp almost as worse as Stu's.

"Marry me," Stu stares, astounded that such a burp could come from you.

"You two are making too much noise," Billy pouts, crossing his arms.

You lean your head on his shoulder, "Oh, don't act like we haven't seen Halloween ten thousand times already, Billy."

"But still," Billy motions toward the TV, "I'm trying to watch."

You turn to Stu, jokingly putting a finger to your lips and shushing him. You have missed this. It may have seemed like you were never friends with them with how you reacted to the whole ordeal of seeing them at Casey's and thinking Billy tried to kill you, but you were all very close. And until your seemingly irrational conclusion and the gut feeling were proved wrong, you would act like nothing ever happened.

"So," you say, looking between the two boys, "is there anything I need to bring to the party?"

"Nope," Stu says, popping the 'p,' "just your sexy ass self!"

"Oh, shut up. Seriously, though. Anything?"

"Maybe some chips, specifically the hot kind," Billy says, eyes still glued to the screen.

You nod and position yourself to where you're laying your head in Billy's lap and resting your legs on Stu's. The two of them share a look. They know they can't hurt you no matter what.

---

It was finally time for Stu's party. He and Billy had left a few hours ago to get ready. Sidney was still weirdly uncomfortable around Billy, even though they were still together, so Stu told Billy to not come until Sid left. Sometimes you wish you had taken the chance to snatch up Billy before Sidney had. But then Billy's mother left, and Sidney's mother died, so even considering the possibility of breaking them up was out of sight and mind. So, in respect, here you are with these weird feelings for your two closest friends, which makes this whole situation a lot harder. Especially when some of the loose ends with them possibly being involved in the murders haven't been tied up.

You decide to put some effort into your appearance, not wearing your infamous black hoodie for once. You wear some sneakers and ripped jeans with your favorite t-shirt. Dewey, Tatum, and Sidney were picking you up momentarily so you could all head to the store for snacks. Sidney had stayed the night with Tatum last night, but you had decided to go home instead. Which you were glad you did, or else you wouldn't have spent time with Billy and Stu. After the questioning, you had just been so tired that you wanted to be in your own bed.

There's a knock on your door right as you head down the hall from your bedroom. Making sure you have everything you'd need before leaving, you go to the door to see Dewey there.

"Good evening, (Y/N)," Dewey tips his hat at you with his signature smile.

"Good evening, Dewey."

He leads you to the car, where Tatum is in the passenger seat, and Sidney is in the back, leaving room for you.

"What's up, (Y/N)?" Sidney asks with a smile.

"Nothing much. I had a movie day with the guys earlier," you say as you climb into the backseat.

"Ooh, sounds like fun," Tatum turns from her position in the front seat, "I'm glad things are back to normal for you."

"As normal as things could be right now," you shrug. Sidney nods in agreement.

The drive to the grocery store is blanketed in comfortable silence, and you watch the town go by in a blur from the window. Life here has always been normal until lately. You wonder if this chaos will last forever.
