~Y/N ( POV )~

The noise, the sweaty people, and the gossiping were all too much for me. Why can't I just live a normal life where I don't have to worry about anything. About bills, family, and a good-for-nothing Grandfather who just makes things worse for me and my little sister. Why does life hate me so much? I just wish sometimes that someone could just sweep me off my feet and take care of me.

After my mother died after giving birth to my sister Lily which was the most horrible moment in my life. I had to grow up really fast since my father died in a car accident and my grandfather turns to gamble as a way of dealing with my mother's death. Which leads us to a lot of debts. We even had to sell the house my mother worked so hard in her life to buy for us to pay off some of my grandfather's debts.

I even had to get a job at 15 years old to take care of my 5-year-old sister at the time and let me tell you that was not fun for a 15-year-old kid. My grandfather would always 'borrow' money from me and gamble it all away.

Sometimes I would have to hide my money away from him. Years passed and I'm now twenty with three jobs. I've managed to convince my dad to stop gambling and he did or so I thought he did. Right now I'm at one of my jobs as a dishwasher at a big-time restaurant, doing what you ask well-washing dishes.

As I'm washing the dishes I suddenly felt something vibrating in my right pocket which is obviously my phone. Quickly drying my hands on my apron I reached into my right pocket and answered my phone.

"Hello?" I asked hearing a lot of shuffling on the other end.

"Unnie?" The person said. this is Lily, my 10-year-old sister.

"Yes, Princess?" I asked concerned because Lily knows not to call me when I'm working unless it was an emergency.

"Grandpa found the stash of money that you've been saving!"

"What?!" I yelled causing everyone in the kitchen to look at me. He just stole $5,000 dollars from me which was for Lily's school funds and college funds too.

"Do you know where he's at?" I asked knowing Lily would know cause she's one nosey little girl.

"Of course, they don't call me detective Lily for nothing!" She started to ramble on.

"Princess please tell me before something bad happen!" Which was true the last time he gambled he was almost shot and when we got back home they left a threatening note saying they would take Lily which I would never let happen. So I use some of the money I saved and moved us into a faraway apartment with alarms and you also had to be in the system to get past the security. I had no problem paying as long as lily and I are safe.

"Sorry, he's at Kim's casino!" she said.

"Thanks, Princess!" I said starting to take off my apron as I check my watch for the time.
