The Malfoy Family

Weasley Back to School Dinner

It was August 19 when Myra finally decided to tell James about the baby. Everything was planned out from when and how she was going to do it all the way down to the conversation that was going to happen before Myra broke the news not only to James but to her friends and the rest of her family. It was the annual Weasley Back to School Dinner. Every year for as long as Myra could remember she would receive letters from James, Lily, Victorie, Roxanne, and Lucy telling her all about the dinner and everyone's plan for the year. Myra always looked forward to receiving those letters because they always made her feel like she was right there listening to every conversation. Now it was finally time for her to experience it for herself and not just in a letter.

This year the dinner did have to move houses as there was so many people that even the outdoor dining area could not fit everyone. This year it was going to be at Malfoy Manor gardens. When Hermione heard where it was going to be held she froze but, Ginny assured her that it was not the manor she remembered. After their repeat 7th year Draco decided it was time for a change of living so he demolished the old Malfoy Manor and sold the property to build a new home far away from the original. Hermione hopped it was true because every since that day Hermione had experiences sleepless night after awakening from that horrid nightmare almost every night.

As Hermione and Myra stood outside of Malfoy Manor both of their minds were clouded with thoughts and fear of what lied behind the closed doors. When the doors opened they were greeted by Ginny pulling them both in and to the back garden. When they entered the garden it was occupied by a large group of so many different families everyone from the Weasley clan, the Longbottom's, the Scamander's, Teddy Lupin, and many more that Myra did not know. When the rest of the guest noticed Hermione and Myra each of them was dragged away from each other to join different groups. Myra soon learned that those she didn't know were the Zabini's, Nott's, Smith's, Kenneth Wright, and Madalynn Thompson. While Hermione learned that after she left Pansy and Blaise had married each other, Astoria had married Zacharias Smith and Daphne had married Theo.

Myra had become instant friends with Lukas Zabini, Daphne Smith, and Damion Nott who she learned would also be in her year at Hogwarts. When it was finally time for dinner Myra's nerves were jumping everywhere. She was so worried about how James would react to the news, that was until she made eye contact the her father and all of her fear dissipated into thin air. When the time finally came it was her father that started the conversation.

"So Myra I was wondering if you have thought about what you are going to do after you graduate?"

"Well, first off I plan to spend more time with James," Myra stated looking over at James, "but I also plan to start my own potions store."

"I plan to spend time with you as well Myra," James said smiling at Myra

"That is an interesting aspiration sweetheart."

"Why is that?"

"You father happens to own one of the largest potions companies in the entire wizarding world," Pansy stated.

"Are you telling me you own LRFM and DLM potions company?"
"Yes Myra."

"This is amazing I will have so many questions for you."

"I can't wait. As for you James you graduated last year. What was it again that you decided to do?"
"I went to start my healer training about a month after graduating."
"That's right. As for you spending more time with Myra after she graduates do you think you will have time for that?"
"I will always make time for Myra as she is the most important thing to my right next to my family."
"So family is really important to you?"
"Of course it is I would do anything for my family and some day I hope that I can do that with Myra."

"It's funny you mention wanting to have Myra in such an important aspect of your life. Do you happen to plan on marrying my daughter?"
"I hope that one day yes I will marry her and start a family with her."
"Thank you James. Now then I have a small gift for you," Myra said as she got up.

"Myra I don't have anything for you though."

"You have given me everything I could have ever wanted even now I have everything I could ever want," Myra said looking around at everyone sitting around the table "my family has grown so much and it is going to continue to grow."
"What do you mean continue to grow?"
"Open the box," Myra giggled out as she handed James the box.

"World Best Dad. Myra what is this?" James questioned as he held up the pregnancy test up.

"James, I'm pregnant."

"WHAT!"
"Your going to be a father."
"Really?"

"Really" At this James shot up out of his seat and rushed toward Myra lifting her off the ground wrapped in a tight hug. "I am going to be a father!"

"Yes your going to be a father and I a mother."

"This little girl will get everything she could ever want."
"What makes you so sure that it is going to be a girl?"
"That last girl born was Lily and that was fifteen years ago. Plus there is to many boys there need to be more girls."

"That true James but it is quiet often that the first born is any Malfoy lineage is a boy, the same goes for the Potter family, and the Weasley family. So your chances of having a girl are very slim." Draco said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"I understand that Mr. Malfoy, but I can still dream that I will have a girl who will have me wrapped around her little figure along with the rest of her family."
"Well we will find out in about two months. I just got conformation yesterday that I am 2 1/2 months along."
